The question was fine.

This is baiting:

“I’m not sure a 4 game stretch over 16, 8, 4, and 11 seeds”

That’s kenpom 13, 15, and 24 and trying to downplay the run because of seeds is certainly trolling. No one said anything about All American, just that it’s encouraging to see Johns play well against good competition as a starter and that he probably starts next season.

Something like 8-9 points and 4-5 rebounds per game would be what I expect from Johns.
Okay. I and most of the rest of the Big Ten hope you are correct that Johns starts.

Yeah, we were just screwed in the tournament with him starting when we made it further than Indiana has in 18 seasons.

An 8 and 4 PF as our our 4th or 5th best starter is solid. You’re trying too hard at this.

Jesus Hail, I was just saying Diabate gives Michigan a higher ceiling. I wasn’t crapping on Johns. It’s the exact same thing the other Michigan poster said and you liked it. Calm down buddy.

Can’t wait for you to explain to us how IU actually has the more talented roster after Purdue wins their 15th in a row in the rivalry.
You likely have the more talented roster next year. However if you keep adding Iowa type players, that will change in a hurry.

I know I’m going against my MSU fandom, but not having UM in the top 10 is ridiculous.

MSU being 23 is still generous to me. We were a bubble team that lost our 2 best players. If Tom Izzo wasn’t our coach we wouldn’t be ranked there. I think we can be a top 25 team absolutely, but I don’t even know who our leading scorer is going to be. Gabe Brown? Joey Hauser? Just not a lot of proven guys.

Yeah, 4th in the Big Ten is interesting.

You don’t think Diabate starts over John’s?
I’m personally not a believer in Johns. He has good physical tools and he’ll be a decent role player but doesn’t have the right mental makeup to be anything more than that IMO. Personally think our highest upside will come with Diabate or a lineup that has Houston playing the 4 (his more natural spot) alongside guys like Bufkin/Barnes/Zeb at the 3.

Lol I’d slot us in somewhere between 18-22 right now. Top 10 is crazy talk.

His name is Houstan and he will be just fine at the 3.

I've been formulating preseason top 25 teams in my head and here's what I got so far. Of course this is flawed a bit because I haven't thoroughly analyzed it.

1. Gonzaga
2. UCLA
3. Michigan
4. Villanova
5. Alabama
6. Ohio State
7. Kansas
8. Purdue
9. Arkansas
10. Duke
11. Maryland
12. Baylor
13. Kentucky
14. Florida State
15. Texas
16. Houston
17. Virginia
18. Oregon
19. Saint Bonaventure
20. North Carolina
21. Tennessee
22. Michigan State
23. Virginia Tech
24. USC
25. Memphis

Other B1G teams under consideration: Indiana, Illinois,

People are getting more and more confident about Kofi's return. Go ahead and pencil us in at 5, and when we hire Jamall Walker back throw us in at 2.

Just kidding. Our whole team will probably surprise transfer out.

If he returns, then yes, Illinois would definitely be in the top 25 mix somewhere. Could be another solid year for the Big Ten. Just gotta finish things out in March.

Strange that Borzello thinks Purdue will go with a 4 guard lineup. No way that happens unless Gillis finally transfers (right @NC_Trojan10?) and TKR gets hurt.

We still may have a couple tricks left up our sleeves on the recruiting trail. A lot of moving parts for most teams at this point.

Same with us regarding Harper and Geo. I think we are in top 6 discussion with those two. Finished T-6 last year.

I honestly don’t care....preseason polls are truly meaningless and just cool for off-season discussion. We weren’t even ranked by most last preseason and finished top 4. These analysts don’t know shit

Regular season polls suck too. Rating systems are better. Michigan is usually underrated in preseason polls. I think our final Kenpom ranking has outpaced our preseason polls in 5 straight seasons. Not sure many teams can claim that.

Once UM adds Devante Jones they will prob move up. Brooks being the only experienced guard is an obvious question mark.
