Just snagged some tickets to UCLA @ Colorado (bball) in January. It's a Saturday night, so that should be pretty fun even though CU fans don't give a shit about basketball.

CU also has Kansas at home, but I'm out of town during that game.

CU home game attendance, does it compare to any B1G teams or is it truly that awful?

It was ~8k in 2019-2020, and their arena holds 11k. I remember seeing an article where their coach was imploring students to come to games because the attendance was bad.

The first year I moved here, I got tickets for a home game against top 10 Xavier for like $8.

Yikes. Maybe not Penn State or Northwestern bad but not much better.

Yeah they are names in the industry. A lot of brand loyalty from posters though. Half the board left half stayed. I’m posting on both for now.
IU had the same thing a few years ago. Since the switch Peegs is still thriving on 247 and Rivals has been through 4 entirely new staffs in that time. I can’t imagine the Rivals board has many people left at this point.

I broke down some time ago and subscribed to the IU rivals message board for a month. Deader than a doornail and the average age of poster seemed to be 75. Although, our Rivals site is now pretty dead as our main contributor started his own site with a few others. I post on both.

Yea if you are looking for IU info, you want the 247 site, not the Rivals site. However if you are a premium member of the Illinois 247 site, you can read the IU board for free.

I'm not on 247. Rivals now allows a subscriber to have "read only" subscriptions at a discounted price to other schools. But if a person subscribes to Rivals annually, like I do, you can only subscribe to other sites annually. You cant do a monthly subscription. It's freaking amateur hour around here.

The arena is small and a pice of crap but it actually can get pretty wild for big games. Louder than crislers from for big games for example, I’ve been to both many times.

Just got done looking at the schedules and doing some calculations on the media's projected top 8.

OSU has the easiest schedule by a good margin. Purdue has the easiest path of the projected top 3. Rutgers has an absolutely brutal schedule. Illinois not far behind.

I do think Illinois has the toughest schedule of the projected top 3 teams. Illinois & Purdue get the benefit of one of their road games being Minnesota.

Michigan's 3 "easiest" road games : Neb, PSU, & Rutgers.
Purdue's 4 "easiest" road games: Indiana 😏, PSU, NW, Minny
Illlinois's 3 "easiest" road games: Neb, NW, Minny

I used the media poll to calculate SOS. I used media poll finishing position for home games against that opponent and media poll finishing position divided by 2 for away games against the opponent.

So opponent example... :

Michigan
Home Game: 1
Away Game: .5

Purdue
Home Game: 2
Away Game: 1

... etc

I did the same thing for just the top 8 opponents (big drop off after 8th imo). That's where the real difference in SOS comes in my opinion as the bottom 8 games should all be winnable. Michigan, Illinois, and Maryland all have 12 games against the projected top 8. Purdue and Rutgers have 11 games against those opponents, and OSU, IU, and MSU all only play 10 games against those teams.

Good to know it gets wild, I haven't seen that yet. But the UCLA game should be a good chance for it. I'd think that would be close to a sellout with all the Cali kids at CU and in Denver/Boulder in general.

Debatable. Surprised Woodson took a 3 star project. Everyone knows Woodson has struggled developing his players.
Who is the project? If you are referencing Gunn, that was an Archie recruit whose commitment was honored by the new staff.

Link to show Woodson struggles to develop players?

Indiana thinks they are getting everyone.
Indiana was a legit leader for Clowney. Apparently his visit to Alabama changed his mind. Not a huge surprised...Southern kid stays closer to home, to play for aprogram that is on a serious uptick, so to speak. Oats is doing work, there. Huge class coming in. I do think had IU been his last visit, and not Bama, he'd been a Hoosier. But thats recruiting.

They got the last visit last weekend and killed it. They had another 5* commit today, and may get another 5* on Thursday. They already have a 5* PG committed.
Indiana with the first ever borderline top 5 class that’s actually ranked 15th nationally…

LMAO😂
