I like Newman a lot too. If Purdue ends with him it will be a great get and no harm on Missing out on Franklin
Is saying you are going to get more playing time here instead Of there a big deal? Every coach in every sport who recruits does that. If Painter can’t come up with rebuttal that is on him.

I think that Newman official will be canceled. Would be pretty surprised if it wasn’t
so if we land Newman now, can we say Archie is only 3/4 against Painter?
With family issues I would be very surprised if he doesn’t end up at Purdue.
If Purdue can end with Newman and Malik Hall I’d be a happy camper.

I'm so glad I stopped stressing about recruiting a long time ago. Once I had teenagers, I realized there is no value in trying to dissect and understand the whims of 16/17 year olds. I'd much rather focus my angst on what 19-22 year olds do on a 94' x 50' rectangle.
If you get seriously stressed about recruiting that’s a you problem. I follow it and have fun with it but never get seriously mad. I know a lot of grown ass men have this problem

Absolutely. If Painter can't overcome the fact that he has some talented guards in a 3 guard system vs. Archie having no 2 guards in what projects to be a 2 guard system...that's not good.

Higher ceiling for Hall IMO -- better quickness and a more assertive scorer. Would be a huge get for Painter.
Yep. People say Purdue is in a very good spot, but at this point, based on history, I'd say Purdue-Oregon-MSU are pretty much even odds to get him.

sounds like JTD is waiting till spring to announce. to me this is good news for Iowa, IF they have NUCH IMPROVED team and Cook has a very good season he could leave and TJD could see himself taking over Cook's starters position.
