*4Look at the teams they beat. They are not a 10 win team from the east like an OSU. I’m not saying Purdue looked awful but the hey we only lost by 7 at home to B1G West team that won 10 games last year isn’t much of anything.

Purdue has a 5-4 edge over Michigan head-to-head in the past four years and has finished ahead of Michigan in the B1G each year. Michigan has fared better in the past two BTT and had two great NCAAT runs. To state they are better than Purdue as fact is wrong. It's debatable.
SNU, you've gone full homer/troll the past few months which is fine. But let's not pretend like you are capable of ever looking at things through a semi-objective lense on this board. So for you to call others "homers" or "little brother" seems far more fantasy land than a Purdue fan feeling good about where the program is headed after the previous regime in West Lafayette.

There it is! The good old head to head moral victory position. Ask any college basketball fan which program has been better and without a doubt people will say Michigan. The B10 Tourney matters. B10 Championships matter. NCAA Tournament success matters. Michigan has had success in all three of those buckets. Purdue hasn’t had the success in all three like Michigan.Purdue has a 5-4 edge over Michigan head-to-head in the past four years and has finished ahead of Michigan in the B1G each year. I've looked up to Tom Izzo for years as a terrific basketball coach, but overall this is an ignorant statement.

And there is a difference between feeling good about the direction of a program and hyping it up all offseason like you’re going to challenge OSU for the B10 Championship each year.
But I get it, moral victories are what you’re about Mike. Just the way some Purdue fans are.
Big ten tourney doesn’t really matter
NW is mid-tier? Didn’t they return quite a bit from a 10 win team?
Big ten tourney doesn’t really matter and MSU has won it more than anyone.
No they don’t. And NW is a projected 6 or 7 win team and their record is deceiving from last year.
It's funny because Purdue's image defaulted to landscape layout, Michigan's image defaulted to portrait.
I posted four data points, including BTT and NCAAT, and good ole Strawman SNU latches onto the one that's inconvenient for this particular narrative. Also, it's not a moral victory if it's an actual victory. There it is! The good old head to head moral victory position.
Man, if only I had mentioned something about that in the exact post you quoted. I'm not asking for graduate-level comprehension, but critical reading is important. The B10 Tourney matters. Didn't know you guys would get this rustled over a home loss to an average team. Shouldn't you be really used to it by now? But then again, y'all basically thought your coach was going to get you guys into the playoffs this year, so there is that....This is why SNU will always be sub-par poster.

(And I totally understand why head-to-head records, especially in the past few years would be a sore spot.)

In (too early) basketball news. UM can’t shoot the three ball yet. Gonna be a problem.

If you did a poll asking who has been the better program over the last five years, who do you think would win? Michigan or Purdue? I know what the answer would be. Do you (assuming you don't go full fanboy)?
Weird. Couldn't tell that by the way some were hyping up the program.Basically thought Brohm would get us into the playoffs? Not even close. I think most Purdue fans are hoping for 6 or 7 wins especially with the schedule.
No. We lost to Northwestern, not Michigan. What is Northwestern this year? The 6th-8th best team in the B1G? I'm guessing SNU meant that losing at home to a middle-of-the-pack B1G team is what we are accustomed to seeing from Purdue.
No link. Just Purdue fans being Purdue fans.
A bottom of the barrel football team talking smack to a team that's been night and day better is pretty funny.No. We lost to Northwestern, not Michigan.
And don't forget, Arizona is a Final Four team.Im curious because the only thing Ive seen is that Ignas looks legit.
That's Purdue sports for ya. Moral victories, lack of results and an over inflated sense of status for their own program.

Since Northwestern is a middle of the pack Big Ten team and Michigan is an elite team, how many points are you giving me?Let’s bet on the Michigan @ Northwestern game.
@boiler1987 can get in on this too since NW is some powerhouse 10 win team again apparently.

Oh Blaire. I’m surprised you weren’t as rustled as the rest of your Purdue fanboys here. You must have been too busy putting product in your hair. It’s almost unbelievable to think SNU is approaching 40 years old.
