As I say, these writers are lazy. Not many guys on that list you would chose over either of them.I think its gonna be difficult to keep one of, if not both of Mgabko or Reneau off 2nd or first teams.

Why do you say that?Meh....I think Mullins is a must get here for Woody
I dont think he goes to UCONN. Adams commitment IMO killed that....But if he does go there, even with UCONN nabbing Adams----Yikes.Agreed. That’d be a tough look to lose him to UConn with all the time and resources you put into recruiting him.
YupReally?
Hey if it helps us get a new coach I’m all for it.As bad as we’re, we’re still Purdue’s overlord.
Huge talent...lots invested. Staye kid. Two other competitors inked very good talent, that play his position. To lose out on him would be bad.Yup
I am interested in why you feel he is a "must get" for Woody given the overall situation.
I know why we want the kid and would hate to lose him.
Hit the nail on the head. Would be bad optics for sure.Huge talent...lots invested. Staye kid. Two other competitors inked very good talent, that play his position. To lose out on him would be bad.
Kid is that good. Would be a big miss for this staff.
I attended the Michigan game on Washington's campus yesterday and took a look inside Alaska Airlines Arena. That place is amazing!
UCLA at #2!? Katz must be on drugs.
Also Indiana at #7 seems crazy low. I'd have them in my top 5, nationally. Feel like Maryland needs to be in there, as well.

It is intimate, with lots of character and excellent sight lines.A historic building, approaching 100 years. Still looking strong, as far as I can tell. I would love to watch a game there! And Washington has one of the oldest basketball programs. They've been around longer than any of the blue bloods.
I agree with the assessment, and he is a kid IU should get, I just don't see it as a must get situation for Woody...he has a ton of talent already...his recruiting record is solid so no optics issues...today's player marketplace can turn on a dime so to speak.Huge talent...lots invested. We'll just have to agree to disagree.. with the portal era, maybe not as big of a.deal, but...I agree with the assessment, and he is a kid IU should get, I just don't see it as a must get situation for Woody...he has a ton of talent already...his recruiting record is solid so no optics issues...today's player marketplace can turn on a dime so to speak.
A kid we want and worked hard for but IMO not a must situation.

His focus has been on portal right or wrong. He has suceeded. We'll just have to agree to disagree.. with the portal era, maybe not as big of a.deal, but...
Cant keep missing kids like this, who are in your yard.
His recruiting record via the portal has been good. HS kids...meh. Not as much. Not elite Indiana kids.
Lose.mullins to UCONN/UNC, even though they signed studs at his position, just isn't a good look.
Look at it like this...He'd start Day 1 @ IU. At UCONN or UNC, he's battling 5* at his position...yet still goes there?
Eeek
This year, for sure. But what happens if/when he strikes out(portal)? I understand the landscape has changed (with portal). That doesn't change the importance of being able to recruit your own state, and or beyond. His focus has been on portal right or wrong. He has suceeded.
Strike out anywhere and it ain't good. Fortunately that hasn't happened. This year, for sure. But what happens if/when he strikes out(portal)? I understand the landscape has changed (with portal). That doesn't change the importance of being able to recruit your own state, and or beyond.
Are the big-time boosters going to allow that to happen though? Seems like their goal is to throw as much money as possible to portal guys to help create a winning program. This year, for sure. Seems not. Seems to be how CBB is.Are the big-time boosters going to allow that to happen though? Seems like their goal is to throw as much money as possible to portal guys to help create a winning program.
Definitely not a must get but the optics wouldn’t be good. For IU to get back to national prominence, they need to start winning those types of recruitments IMO. Can’t just rely on the portal IMO.Mullins is an important get but not a must get. It's a bigger deal to land him than lose him if that makes sense. We have the portal and we have money to spend. I'll take a 6'5 instate 2 we haven't gotten a guy like they in a bit but to me it'd be hard to turn down UConn and that offense.
There's not much to feel bad about losing a recruit to UConn.Definitely not a must get but the optics wouldn’t be good. For IU to get back to national prominence, they need to start winning those types of recruitments IMO. Can’t just rely on the portal IMO.
I would not feel good about it and while UConn may not have the cash we do, they are the shiny thing right now and frankly has a Coach with a better rep. There's not much to feel bad about losing a recruit to UConn.
Nah. Iowa is too low. Should be #1, because f*** Wisconsin, that's why.Preseason KenPom rankings are out. If I were to guess, I'd say Iowa and Oregon are too high. IU and Rutgers are too low.
Iowa has one of the better 1-2 punches in the league in Sandfort and Freeman. I'm just not sure Iowa has much behind them.Nah. Iowa is too low. Should be #1, because f*** Wisconsin, that's why.
Not sure because nobody does. They hit the portal in an attempt to give Fran one last tournament team.Iowa has one of the better 1-2 punches in the league in Sandfort and Freeman. I'm just not sure Iowa has much behind them.
What is the temperature of Iowa fans generally regarding Fran?Nah. Iowa is too low. Should be #1, because f*** Wisconsin, that's why.
Shouldn't we ask them what their Francon rating is?What is the temperature of Iowa fans generally regarding Fran?
