He’s the kind of kid that I would have been fearful of recruiting, even 2 years ago. But now, if he doesn’t work out then he transfers and then we go get a transfer to replace him. The way I look at recruiting is vastly different than I used to just a short time ago.
This is a whole lotta cope after losing your highest rated recruit in the class to a conference foe.
Ironic end to your first paragraph when your starting point guard this year is at his 4th college in 5 years.

Don’t think DGL would’ve stuck with Purdue regardless of NIL. And we are investing in NIL just were late to the game on it.
Hepburn is 210, not 175… might be tough to live up to that.

I think he's closer to 185 now. He's pretty solidly built. This pic is from April before he was on campus. But yeah, he's not built like Hepburn. I'm thinking more along the lines of it would be great if his impact was anything close to Hepburn.

I went to high school with his brothers. He’s a local kid. A lot of this stuff is well-known in the West Lafayette/Lafayette community. I don’t get why you Illinois fans are so chirpy these days. Underwood is a good coach and has a built a solid program. You Illinois fans get awful defensive these days.

In today’s environment, anyone can transfer. Even kids with great parents.
So go for players that you think can make a difference and immediately make the rotation. Kids who play 20+ minutes are less likely to transfer than kids who play 11th man. If they still leave, hit the portal.
