****Official B1G Off-Season Thread****

Smith will average 38 minutes per game. No way he sits.
Depends on the game I’d imagine. There were times this year where CMP would’ve liked to have given Braden and TKR breathers but couldn’t. Should have the luxury to rest both more this upcoming season.

Matt could/should have limited Smith's playing time a handful of times, but chose not to. That first Michigan game is an example.

Probably didn’t have the trust in the other guys tbh but fair re the first Michigan game. Don’t think that’ll be an issue this year.

I agree with your sarcasm. I am tired of the "Painter builds his team the right way" narrative.
The reality is “the right way” has changed (plus, there is always more than one “right way”).

From the last couple of years, it now looks like the ideal “right way” (if you can’t get Cooper Flagg) is to develop from within, have some roster continuity, sprinkle in some impact freshmen and fill in the gaps thru the portal.

UConn and Florida won titles doing just that. Houston has been the most consistently great team the last few years doing the same.

Purdue is still a homegrown development program with tactical portal additions to fill specific needs. Dumber than Gil clown boy trying to compare Painter to IU and other schools having to fill 10+ roster spots shows his lack of intellect/common sense (trying to not use the R word anymore, but that’s what he is).

IIRC, this is the first time we’ve taken 2 transfers in the same year (and Murphy only happened because we lost Heide IMO or else we would’ve likely just taken Cluff). The only thing different is expanding the recruiting blueprint to bring in Mayer but don’t expect that on the regular. Sounds like that was due to a connection with Ivey.

Just laughing at their hypocrisy.

We all knew they would be forced into the rat race.

BTW the infestation of pu grads on the IU board today after their good news is hilarious. Their star poster had this to say on the IU board after the commitment today:

"We’re already the overwhelming favorites to win it next year and still aren’t done with the portal yet"

~johnboiler123

Oh, and yet another one of these clowns took the time and effort to create a new email account, Rivals account and user name to follow me and mark my posts...welcome @But but but Painter But as @boilerzz says...."that's not a purdue fan"...lol

Oh good the typical EyeU, PeeU off-season vagina measuring contest.
Zdf Im Horny GIF by funk

Purdue has also taken in 2 whole transfers this offseason with one coming in for a complete bench role in Murphy. International kid is just a freshman. Acting like they’re now building through the portal is silly.

Even with the 2 this year, Purdue has only had 7 incoming transfers over the past 10 years. It has been (and will continue to be) utilized to complement the roster and fill gaps when needed.

Why yes. Your top poster declared Pu the prohibitive fav next year while still stockpiling portal guys and you claim to know who my stalkers are but can’t seem to tell us.

Please enlighten us hypocrite boi
You should spend more time thinking about your own program. You seem to be just like those “Purdue fans” you keep suggesting exist.

Not an issue wee man. The mods shut the threads down and hopefully banned mine or ten of you again. The talk is back to IU.

And I am not “suggesting” anything Check for yourself. They are there in the frozen thread but I suspect you already saw that

Now, enlighten us on the followers you claim to know.

CDD lands fills two more roster spots with a backup big and another heady quick player that can shoot. Appears to have four starters identified and two rotational players. Still need a rim protector. Stats available on the OS.

I am cautious because we were pretty pumped a year ago with the talent…but this appears to be a base for a fun group to watch run.

Clown speak as a second language

Blah Blah pigs blah blah Purdue blah blah IU money blah blah Fat coeds Blah blah stalkers.

English Translation - IU misses dance again. 😊
Aww. Banned from the IU site again?

Rent free. lol

That's kind of sad. I remember the days when 5-6 schools from Indiana would make the tournament. It was a source of pride growing up in the state.
ND has potential with Shrewsberry but Butler has really fallen off. The move to the Big East/NIL hasn’t done them any favors. Quite the fall from grace since the back-to-back championship games. We’ll see how DeVries does.

Shrews will need to make the tournament this year, or he's on the hot seat. Having a losing season when the ACC was really down, didn't help his situation.
