Seth Davis has MD ranked 6th after today’s game - fair or foul?
Fair. Nearly won without Cowan for last 5 minutes and a bad game from Stix. Wasn’t nearly that bad of a loss if you really think about it. Wiggins looked good, Ayala looked pretty good and Scott had arguably his best game of the year. If we can find a reliable third option we can actually get past the second round. Just sucks the sequence of events at the end.

this has changed as they are more inclined to play at the same level as their opponents.
in the 1st meeting MD was called for 14 fouls
Iowa was called for 15 fouls with the breakdown looking like this

on Jan 10th
then on Jan 30th
the fouls on Iowa
5 on Connor
5 on Toussaint
4 on Garza
22 total fouls,
funny how the fouls changed between the 2 games with Iowa having more fouls called on them in both games, plus Iowa won 67-49 in the 1st meeting then lost 82-72 in the 2nd,

Uh yeah. The refs in college hoops are human. I spent 40 years watching Dean and Mike get every call and player they wanted for years. Izzo gets decent home cooking too in BIG. Most of the National blue blood teams always have and will. Frustrating for the rest of us.

with Garza getting the attention does will help Iowa in future recruiting. even just a 1st Team AA will be a plus in recruiting in the future. BTPOY is a bonus as is the NPOY.

I just find it funny when a team like a SDSU loses, and people suddenly shit on them. It's ignorant. They are really good. So what they lost a game they had no business losing. It happens. Fyck Duke lost at home to SFA. UK lost at home to Evansville. Good teams have bad nights too.
