when Juwan is bringing in elite recruiting class after elite class, I am guessing a lot of people will care

I had to argue with guys here. I think most thought it was wishful thinking, but it was blatantly apparent that he had a lot to improve on.
His recent drop off in play these last 5 games definitely show he isn't ready. 16 of his first 19 games he scored in double figures, but only twice in the last 5 games. His FG% also went from 56% the first 19 games, down to 35% these last 5. Freshman wall?

I wouldn't call it a freshman wall. Rather it's due to better scouting. Teams have finally figured out that they can sit in a zone/play off and make us shoot outside shots. Teams help off to prevent him from catching the ball cleanly, and he doesn't get very many calls due to his size. I know I was messing around in the Iowa game, but someone on twitter posted all of the times Garza fouled him without calls and it was dreadful. That's pretty commonplace in the big ten.
Also, he's never shown great touch around the hoop. That's been there the entire year. He doesn't make many shots where he's not right under the hoop.
A lot of bum slaying early on. He’s a great freshman player who will be back next year and have a good chance to leave then. But it wouldn’t shock me if we get him for 3 years.
KenPom has Maryland and Penn State as projected Co-Big Ten Champs at 14-6. Pat Chambers has to be considered the lead candidate for Big Ten Coach of the Year.
yeah right that Garza was fouling even though he faced DBL and sometimes triple teamed and your coach even stated in his post game pressure that the plan going into the game was to hit him hard and often. which they did, if the officials had really called like they should have Illinois would have had multiple players foul out.
