*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

Yup. Would suck more if Michigan hasn’t had so much March success lately, but still an annoying game to end a season on.

Hopefully this brings back most outnumbered minutes.
You all have been killing it and had a great season....even with the loss tonight. That's why I'm not sure why you're getting so worked up about it?

I don't know if you really believe that, or it's a part of your schtick?

If I was a big of a troll as you think I am, don’t you think I would’ve launched an assault on how Indiana’s season ended up the past two weeks? I realize shit happens and that Indiana was a coin flip away from making a bid. So I let it go.

The second Michigan loses you’re here like a moth to a flame yapping.

There’s a big difference between us, I guess.

You’re reading my posts thinking I’m mad about where the program is? That’s not an honest summation of my posts.

Edwards first player since Steph to have 4 straight NCAAT games with 25 points
Steph was unfortunate enough to run into a team that was top 2 in both adjO & adjD..
Davidson, 9 & 24 vs KU 2 & 1
Purdue, 4 & 28 vs Virginia 2 & 3
or.. vs Oregon 72 & 15

KU / Davidson E8 '08 was, I believe a 2pt game.. would love it if this ends up Virginia/Purdue

I'm trying to envision the endless trolling by Hail if the roles were reversed and MSU fairy danced their way through a bunch of underdogs to a smackdown loss in the National Championship, followed up by a hyped-up year with literally nothing to show for it other than three spankings from MSU and an embarrassing blowout in the tourney to a bottom feeder B12 program
They, uh, won the B12..
But please, keep going.. :D

Where did come up with that? Oh trust me...I have zero doubt that you have an incredibly high opinion of Michigan...that's obvious. But what I'm not understanding is for someone who is known across this board as someone who consistently trolls...why you're so sensitive when someone tries to troll you?

I haven't said a single negative comment about Michigan, so back up a little bit and calm down some. I was the one who said they had a great season even with the loss tonight.

Instead, my comment was just about how sensitive you're being tonight when MSU fans are obviously trying to troll you.

People can troll me all they want. That doesn’t mean I have to act like what they’re saying makes sense and/or not point out I let plenty of posters/fanbases off easier than they let me off.

You’re going to deny trolling right now? That’s a troll in and of itself.

Lol how am I trolling you? You're getting all worked up over a couple MSU fans trying to troll you. I haven't said a single negative word about Michigan in not just tonight, but months. I just made a single comment about how I'm surprised how salty you're acting tonight because of how much you troll people around here.

I'm sorry bud, but when you're known by the whole forum as someone who constantly trolls...you lose the ability to get worked up when someone trolls you.

Earning a 2 seed and making a sweet 16 is considered a bad season? You’re better than this. Maybe you’re not.
Startling similar season to Purdue last year. Go on an incredible stretch where you look like a title contender, ultimately finish second in the B1G, lose in the B1G tourney championship, and lose to Texas tech in the sassy 16.

Not a troll just a gigantic asshole

I just want to congratulate Purdue on making the Final Four. We play like that again and we get boat raced
Thanks dude, we’re just happy to play another game. UVA is on whole different level, and Purdue has no shot. Congrats on the win and the F4. We just didn’t have enough.

Imagine watching Cline take the SEC player of the year off the dribble on a step back three to tie a S16 game with 30 seconds left...after having said he’s a catch and shoot guy only who’s worse than McRoberts.

I was laughing hard he looks so fvcking slow and uncoordinated doing anything but shooting. But he made it work, crazy.

Oh for sure haha. That's what is so great about his shot. It's so unorthodox but it works since it's nearly impossible to block it without fouling.

Ridiculously hungover sitting here in my office, but so happy. Still can’t believe Purdue pulled out the win in a game like that. So used to it always going the other way.

Imagine having a tenuous grasp on statistics and making a broad generalization using one possession.

Here's a fun stat for you:

52% of Ryan Cline's possessions were catch and shoot. 29% were at least one dribble. 6% of his possessions were the one that you described above, and he made a measly .677 PPP from them. That's good for 27th percentile which is Not Great, Bob.

He was guarded by a 5. I hope he could get that shot off. Unbelievable game for him yesterday, but one possession doesn't change facts. It's the exact same stupid argument that @B-Westy made not too long ago by showing a couple highlights. Those are the exception and not the rule.

I drank an uncomfortable amount of water last night to try to preempt this hangover bc I have a final round interview today and it’s physically impossible to not have 10+ beers while watching purdue in March.

he does most of his damage in the two man game with Haarms. A catch and shoot guy would be incapable of that.

And calling Grant Williams a center to make your point doesn’t help.

Painter has now been as far as Archie Miller in the tournament it only took him 35 years to do it. Congrats guys.

Grant Williams is an undersized 4/5. That doesn't take away from anything.

The stats say otherwise. If you want to argue from ignorance, there's no sense in trying. He had 12.5% (50 possessions) out of the two-man game this entire season that resulted in a shot, turnover, free throw, or assist. He's predominately a spot-up shooter no matter how much you want him to be otherwise. Reals over feels, bud.
