*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

Comparing single games is dumb. MSU is better head to head and probably better full strength. Right now the two teams are pretty even overall, though.
We will see, msu won the head-to-head regardless of circumstances, but they will get Michigan when they're healthy tomorrow. MSU's most impressive wins are- @wisconsin (12pts), iowa 2x (17,22), mich 2x(7,12), purdue(16), maryland(14).
Michigans are UNC (19pts), @Nova(27), iowa(21), 2x maryland(7,13), @minnesota(9), @iu(23), wisconsin(9). pretty equal imo.

MSU will probably be a 5 point favorite tomorrow and deservedly so. That isn’t a slight to Michigan.

MSU wasn’t playing their A game those 2 games. MSU has gotten better as the season progressed even with injuries. UM has gotten worse, or has at least cooled off from the hot start that was helped by playing in Spain.
aand here comes the sparty smarminess.

but, Michigan's record is better as of now, and MSU hasn't played Michigan at full strength either.
He was literally correcting the guy that said Michigan was at full strength in Ann Arbor. Why is that confusing? He didn’t say MSU was at full strength. He simply corrected the guy who said Michigan was.
This is what I’m referencing. Hail I’m not saying he was wrong, what he said was right. Injuries hurt MSU in that game far more than UM. One player only played 20 minutes that usually played more. MSU has 3 injuries to their top 6 that game.

So, saying MSU hasn’t played UM at full is true, UM definitely also hasn’t played NSU at full strength, not even close. UM was pretty close to full strength.

???

MSU is better than Michigan this year. I think that’s pretty well accepted. UM was helped out by playing in Spain to start the season, just like MSU was helped out by playing in Italy in 15-16. Whats smarmy about me saying that.

Did you see where SpartyRBS said MSU’s beat up team beat full strength Michigan? Do you see how that is untrue?

Matthews was injured before the first tv timeout.

"Injuries hurt MSU in that game far more than UM." seems like an opinion.

there's no way they wont because of the first two games, but like I said, they will get Michigan when they are firing on all cylinders.
Well, MSU has Ward back too, even though Ward didn’t play that great today. And he hasn’t played against UM yet

I don’t need you going all dragonhawk over here. If/when Michigan loses you’ll be nowhere to be found and I’ll have to deal with the shit talking from the stones you threw.

Its only well accepted if msu backs it up in the tourney like Michigan did last year. As of now michigan being (likely) 28-5, and msu 27-6 is the only well established thing.

Hold up, do you think Injuries hurt UM more in that game than MSU.

If so, than lol. UM was missing one player who played some time. MSU was missing they’re 3 of their top 7 for the game.

why did msu lose to IU with only one of their top 3 out and IU's best player out? these types of comparisons are pointless.

MSU missing Langford Ward and Ahrens has a bigger effect on that game than Matthews only playing 20 minutes.

Do you genuinely believe UM has been hurt by their injuries more in the two games between these 2 teams.

This is the same team that UM had to beat on a buzzer beater at Chrysler, no? Geez.

did you watch the game? Matthews was hurt in the first 5 minutes. But went back in, which he shouldn't have, and played with a sprained ankle for 20 minutes. It was bad enough he wasn't ready to play 10 days later. Im stating facts, you're rephrasing things to suit your view.

I haven’t watched. UM just beat the shit out of Minny or did the basement dwelling version of Minnesota show up today?

They are on their 3rd game in as many days and lack shooters. UM is playing well and isn’t going to go down to some tired team that can’t shoot. They’re too good for that...

You absolutely refuse to answer my question. I’ve asked it about 3 ones and you haven’t answered. Do you think MSU or UM was effected more by injuries.

Michigan won 4 games in 4 days the last 2 years.

this pissing and moaning about which team is better because of missing players is silly. you win or lose with the players you have, if you win great, lose and its not so good. both teams are winning so enjoy it.

some teams can't win with members of their teams players hurt.

one thing we can all agree on: Michigan and MSU are clearly the two best teams in the bigten.
