Yeah I mean BTT is the true champions...at least that is what has been said when IU won it in 2013 and 2016

MSU gets a class of 5 4 stars and our fan base complains we have no immediate big impact guys.
The next year we go after many many 5 stars and don’t a get a single one. Not one. Vernon Carey, Isiah Stewart, Keion Brooks, TJD, Josiah James. Tyrese Maxey, Drew Timme. All 5 star prospects we’ve pursued and struck out on.

This is an odd week for IU fans to reference an empty-appearing arena when they had fans filing out of the stands in the middle of an overtime win.
But I respect the bait.
In any event, having to decide how to memorialize conference titles seems like one of those "good problems" to have.
At least you actually made a basketball dig instead of doing the weird “holier than thou”/morally superior act the IU posters have been milking lately.

Eh, it was super late during the week. I can understand some folks leaving. A friend of mine with two boys 10 and 7 left early because of how late it was. They had an hour and a half drive home, too, so I’m sure that was part of it.

With two wins this week, & a first round BTT loss the next, IU should lock up the #1 overall seed in the NIT.
If you count the BTT as the beginning of postseason play, I like Purdue's chances to make the third weekend of the tournament(s).

Haha I’m just meaning the NCAA. I’m honestly curious as I can see them beating anyone with Carson but also have the ability to lose to anyone.
I think as long as they take care of business with the regular season title this week, a Sweet 16 is a reasonable expectation and anything beyond that is bonus for already-exceeded expectations. It'll be nice finally rolling the dice in March with a dynamic guard who can flip the script on anyone.
But then again, there's always the risk of a 4-for-24 performance and him shooting Purdue into Little Rock 2.0.
EDIT: To add to this, I think it's important to remember just how flawed this roster is outside of Carsen when setting tournament expectations, even with all the success Purdue has had this season. But I'm sure that's just me making "excuses" for when Purdue flames out.

So couldn’t a coach that wants to see the un-edited version of a game just set his DVR. I can send instructions to IC if you guys need help doing that. This way McCaffery doesn’t have to cuss out officials so he can get a different perspective on how his team can’t defend ANYONE.
I really don’t know. They’ve been able to grind out wins lately with Carsen playing really poorly but wouldn’t expect that to continue in the tournament. Haarms is playing the best basketball of his short career right now, Trevion has shown he can have a huge impact, Grady has been unbelievable with his limited skill set, Cline has been good all year & one of the shooters in the country and makes a lot of tough shots, Nojel keeps getting better and is just a unique player, the bench play has been strong, and Carsen is Carsen. I’m excited to see what happens but really don’t know what to expect.
This has probably already been answered and I just haven't gotten to that post yet, but I always assumed it was to give them the most time before their next game. An extra 7 hours could be big when you're playing on multiple days.
Yeah, I'm sure rest is the rationale, but it just seems like the odd tip time is such a variable that can hurt a team, especially when they haven't played in a week. But it's a pretty minor complaint, all things considered.
Honestly, MSU isn’t that kinda program. Not the Duke’s, Kentucky’s, Kansas’ of the world. I’m sure Izzo is happy with the 2 top 50 prospects he already has.
We get to play it at Mackey, right? Because I put this team up against anyone at Mackey (9 of our 10 B1G home wins were by double digits).
But on a neutral, I worry about Carsen not having a great game and the rest of the flawed roster being able to step up against quality competition. We could reach the Final Four or we could bow out in the 2nd round. That's the nature of this roster.

I wasn’t complaining, merely pointing out how obnoxious out fan base can be. We complain when we land solid 4 year guys instead of 5 stars when we can’t even get those 5 stars.
