My comment was over the top in what respect exactly? Since my over the top statement both Borden and NC have agreed that it is not over the top.
Several of those posters post here on the national board. It's relevant considering they routinely skewer IU fans for either projections on our own team or for Purdue. Several of them have been ridiculously off base with their projections to the point of being beyond laughable. So, sorry not sorry you don't like that I post links here making fun of Purdue fans GBI. If you don't like it, feel free not to click on the link. If that doesn't make you feel better, maybe take a break from the board, remove your panties, and then join us again. K? Thanks in advance.
I think this is over the top. It's basketball. Teams play well some days and play poorly some days. The result of one single outcome in no way implies what you say IMO. To date, I think IU is clearly the best team (and it hurts to type that). Trying to argue against that because a single outcome was close is silly IMO.
Every fanbase has these people. We could pull the same crap from every fan base in the Big Ten and it would make this thread unreadable.
By the way, this is really no different than what I have done. So it's cool if you do it, but an someone else does it, it makes the board unreadable? Ok...
Butler is 9-3 against SOS 128. IU is 9-2 against SOS 221. IU beat them on a last second shot on a neutral court. The only silly thing here is your opinion that it’s unreasonable to question the idea that IU is not clearly the best team in Indiana. Personally I’d take IU straight up against Butler, Purdue or ND in a neutral site game. Maybe a 1 to 1.5 favorite. Maybe. That’s not how I’d define clearly better.
After reading again, I think you were saying ND was clearly the best team between ND and Purdue that day. The first time I thought you were saying ND was clearly the best team of all 4 teams there that day.
Not at the level of Mkgcbb, he's the worst poster I've ever seen. Dude is literally saying he would take mister 2 layups and 3 turnovers Nojel Eastern over Romeo Langford. He's an absolute joke and as a fanbase you should be embarrassed to have him in yours.
As a pretty neutral observer (and three plus year participant) of the B1G threads,
it's ~ 8:1 Indiana : Purdue posters bringing in garbage takes from free boards.
If you remove a certain poster's posts (just remove them all), it'd be closer to 1:1.
I get the want to lol at whatever garbage take tickles your testies, but it's pretty telling when posters continuously bring comments (from another board) and attempt to pass them off as a popular take from the "majority" or "most" or "lots of" saidteamfans.
Every single active free board has horrorific homer takes.

Taking the overall SOS isn’t a good indicator imo because if you play the number 1,2, and 3 teams aswell as the 351, 350, and 349 teams your SOS will be around the same (with my understanding, I could be wrong) as a team that played teams directly in the middle. Obviously that second team is more likely to go 6-0 while the first team is likely to go 3-3 even with the same SOS. In IU’s case, they lost to Arkansas on the road and to Duke on the road. Butler’s two losses are worse even though they have a higher SOS.
One of the most annoying things on this board is when people can’t ever put trolling aside. I troll but I can not troll, too. Dealing with that in the Louisville thread right now. Anyone reasonable can see how annoying it is to lose a title game to a team that later had to vacate the title. They can’t refeain from trolling when that pretty obvious statement is made.
Fair enough- what is a good indicator of IU being “clearly “ better than Butler? What was the Vegas line in that game?
Thanks - apparently Vegas feels IU was not clearly better. My guess as I said above is IU would be 1 to 1.5 favorites in a rematch.

I'm going to already call it ....if Michigan is ranked #1 and undefeated....IU will win! Its happened so many times before in that building....where a top ranked team comes in and gets an L. Especially since its going to be a night game on the weekend ....dear God the stars couldn't be more in line. Unfortunately, if that all plays out I'll fully expect them to lose their next game to rutgers.
Screw you Rivals....dropped my subscription and all of a sudden in back with the bullshit of only being able to post once a week. This shit has been going on for months for many users....no way this isn't an intentional thing their doing to get people to pay.
You Indiana fans have been calling that game all year already... why stop now?
