Maryland somehow moved up and is now right behind IU in Ken Pom

And Illinois projected at 5-15
I'm sorry but "and all of that means a sum total of jack shit" is the answer I was looking for. I project that Purdue will miss the NCAA tournament, but that doesn't mean.. Never mind that one is going to happen.

My comment on Peegs yesterday upset some people. Like I get why a lot of Indiana fans root for both. Especially being a raised by a southern Indiana Catholic family, its just not for me.

I have plenty of friends, even IU graduates that do root for both. In the grand scheme it means nothing, just fun to talk some trash.

I like that Boiler1987 got called out too. Pretty hilarious.

Well I grew up in Northern Indiana, (about 30 miles south of South Bend) and me and my dad would go to games about twice a year. (Notre Dame was awful then, Willingham wasn't a good coach). I've rooted for them ever since. I applied to Notre Dame but ultimately I chose IU as I wanted to be a bit farther away from home. I grew to love the Hoosiers and some of my best memories in college were watching games downtown at Kilroys with my buddies and drinking beer. I just never lost my love for Notre Dame. Once I graduated I bought a house in Southern Indiana with my girlfriend at the time (as she was from there).

Some people root for the basketball and football programs separately but I follow both in both sports. (I actually go to at least 2 IU football games a year) Ultimately I feel both programs do things the right way and they have good kids that graduate, which makes them easy to root for. It is just funny to me that people get that bent out of shape about it, especially when neither one have been national powers in a long time. (Although both are finally trending up)

By the way congrats Purdue fans on David Bell, you guys will have a hell of a class. I've heard it's almost a forgone conclusion.
