*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

I am confused since Bell has made it clear that he is announcing on Jan 5th 2019 during the AA Game how can anyone be so sure on where Bell ends up?

Who knows he may end up choosing ND another Indiana in state school and they are in the CFB Playoff. something that Purdue and Indiana are no where near achieving.

but carry on with this he's committing to our school and the other side saying no he's coming to our school and they may end up with nothing while watching him go some where else.

Notre Dame isn't even recruiting him, they couldn't get him through academically.

Actually I did look and 247 shows an offer from Notre Dame so who knows. Either way they are done taking receivers this cycle it's actually one of our deepest positions. Especially With Kevin Austin and Braden Lenzy getting a year better.

No worries man you’re good. Was hoping we’d have a shot at Lenzy as his dad is a Purdue alum. I saw we picked up a crystal ball pick for his younger brother which is random but would be nice if we could land him.

I said the meltdown that would create would be awesome. I never stated I thought he would go to IU.

11-9 projection for OSU in B1G seems pretty fair. I hope the youngsters get better with experience. Get them this year with Carton, Gaffney, Liddell joining next year they will be very tough to beat.

I haven't talked to any IU fan that wanted Alford hired, seems like it was a bullsh*t ploy from Dakich on his radio show to get ratings and troll IU fans.

I sure as hell didn't want him hired, he's worse than Crean.

45-55 southern Indiana graduate wanted Alford hired. Trust me!

I’m hoping Michigan only loses 1 or 2 players after this season. Could be really good again next year if that’s the case.

I still can't believe how the Carton recruitment went down. Once news broke that Holtman left campus to go watch an event while the kid was on his official...I figured Arkansas State had as much of a chance to get him

At least, even with all his faults and quarks...crean at least seemed like a good person.

He was scared to compete with Zavier Simpson. A one and done prospect isn’t going to want to come in and sit behind one of the best senior PGs in the country.

I think he was worried about being behind Trice and Tai Strickland.

In all seriousness, I don’t see Carton as even close to one and done.

He was also was scared to compete with Jesus Bohannon and Connor McCaffrey. No chance he cracks the rotation playing with those guys.
 
1st I never said Bell was coming to Iowa
2nd as for Academics. Bell is solid in that department so any school would be willing to take him
now to Carton
1st he was not nor did he grow up a Iowa fan.
2nd some on the Hawkeye boards favored a different player by the name of Locure.
3rd his assists to TO's was .9 assists to 1.0 TO not the kind of numbers I like out of a PG.
4th the PG Trousaint out of NY is the type of PG that Fran needs. he is a lock down defender and penetrator. in the drive and dish aspect. from what I could find his assists to TO's was 3.1 to 1.

Only an Iowa fan would want Touissant more than Carton.
