I can point you in the direction of teams he’s built that had the capabilities to make a run in the tournament and proved capable of winning games against elite competition. Injuries have derailed 3 seasons. Hate saying that because it feels like a lame excuse but it just is what it is. Think elite 8 would have been ceiling last season anyway even with Haas with Nova in the same bracket.
I’m just of the opinion if you can build a team capable of winning big games/numerous games in the regular season, your team is bound to break through at some point.
Hell my junior year of high school we went undefeated the whole regular season and then lost in regionals to a forest park team we should have beat. It wasn’t on the coach it was on us being cold af that game. Shit happens in basketball especially in a tournament setting. It just takes one good run.
