*Official* B1G In-Season Thread

I already answered him ***git. Your answer was a troll, but you failed to realize that your purdoodoo. Win something this century, in literally anything.

Painter can’t even figure out his starting 5 but he is this great in game coach. Nobody belives that.
Painter has one great player and a bunch of flawed players. no one else on the roster absolutely deserves a starting gig.

Obviously it depends on how he misses the tournament but that's exactly what I'm saying. We aren't Duke or Kentucky and never will be. I've resigned myself to that fact. That may sound defeatist but I choose to call it realism instead.

And before you drop the Brohm this or that thing, let's wait until he finished better than 7-6 before suggesting he'll be in Alabama or Clemson's stratosphere.
Honestly, I think this is about as healthy of an outlook as I've ever seen from a fan of any team.

The only caveat is, it's not like it's not possible to become a top echelon team. Michigan State wasn't the MSU we know now until they hired Izzo. It's not like were talking about IU football, or Rutgers basketball.....Purdue is on their worst seasons...average. on their best, they can be a top 10 team.

True. Even then, with all the success that Izzo has had at MSU, he's still had two 15 losses seasons in the last 8 years and haven't made the 2nd weekend the last three years.

@jwardelt

Do you know Wisky broke the record for the most points scored in one half, this last week?

Guess who they scored more on? Iowa, back in the 80s and you guys still lost. lol.

Personally, I don’t see what the Crossroads Classic does for Indiana. Waste of an important December Saturday that could be otherwise used on an exciting and emotional game against a decent opponent on a neutral court.
Who's saying that Butler isn't worthy of playing IU like you're insinuating? I've said, as has many others, I'm all for playing them every year! I just don't want it to be on a Saturday in December. I'd rather those handful of days to be playing a top 10 team.

If IU would be planning on replacing this game with a sub 250 nobody...then I'd rather just keep it the way it is. But, I don't believe that's the case.

Isnt it? Especially an Iowa team that is about to be 11-2, heading into the BIG 10. LOL. I don't mind Purdue, but you assholes aren't Indiana, but try to act like you are. I will take shit from them, but not a team that last made a Final Four, the last time Iowa did. Know your place in the BIG 10. And count your BIG Champions as you go to sleep. But March is when it matters.
I like this guy!

Think they can get back to it this year, sure. But wouldn’t bet on it. I’m saying I think they’ll continue to be a top 25 program going forward
Wait a minute....so you think with the roster you have now, minus Edwards. .you believe that team can be a top 25 next year?

The poster I quoted literally said beating Butler does nothing for Indiana and the champions classsic doesn’t move the needle.
And I'm sure theres 1 person who posts here believes the earths flat. That doesn't mean that it's the consensus ofeveryone here that its flat. You know very well that the overwhelming majority of IU fans have zero issues playing Butler. The issue is the crossroads classic

Lol Purdue isnt a tournament team this year, and they certainly arent a tournament team next year when they lose Carsen and Cline.

I hope Purdue keeps painter for the next 40 years!

If he misses the tournament a few more times consecutively I’ll bet he’s gone.

That doesn’t mean I’m not going to call out the flat earther who shits all over the forum. As a college basketball fan, this was a sweet event to watch today.

What evidence from the current underclassmen give you the feeling of a top 25 program if Edwards leaves?

Trevion will be a force, hopefully as soon as next season. Haarms won’t get worse, Boudreaux won’t get worse. Hunter will be a fine player once he adjusts, Sasha and wheeler have shown really nice flashes. Think Newman is instant impact type of freshman. Top 25 is ceiling for next season FWIW I think if Edwards leaves but I still like the pieces.
