MSU hosts KenPom #334 Southern Indiana at 7:00
Nebraska hosts KenPom #344 Florida A&M at 8:00
Purdue's staff seems to maybe finally understand how detrimental to your metrics playing teams that bad can be. The worst KenPom team we play is #252 Jacksonville and we only play 3 KenPom sub 165 teams and only 6 sub 100 teams (with one of those being dogshit Minnesota).
We play the 2nd worst team on our schedule tomorrow and it's #221 Morehead State, who is projected to win the Ohio Valley. Texas Southern, #217 and projected to win the SWAC, is our only other KenPom sub 165 opponent.

A lot of that isn't Painter, tho he does have some influence. The Director of Basketball Operations manages the schedule under the mandates set forth by the Athletic Director.

The early season loss will probably be good in the long run.
Farleigh Dickinson was rated in the 300's going into the tournament, maybe they should schedule a few of those.
