First off, who cares if someone post on a rivals homeboard….I post on RR....Used to post on Purdue board. I mean, I don't get the issue?

Forgot-----Damn Shannon----rape? And a girl from Kansas? I mean if you have to rape chics from Kansas, something is wrong with your ass. Yikes

Allegedly
Did you read that from the charge sheet? If yes, you may have read it wrong. It said she was 16 or older, not that she's underage.

For his sake, and the victim’s, I hope it’s not true.

Dude had made his way into potentially being a lottery pick.
It’s not true. But unfortunately in today’s environment, all that matters is public perception. In that he’s likely already guilty.

Evidently Shannon fingered a girl in a bar in Kansas. But because he misrepresented himself as a football player(unsure why he did this), she’s claiming it’s rape due to him lying about who he was.

Apparently neither the DA or the party pressing charges think they actually have case to get a conviction on rape, but they are using that in the hopes of getting him to plea to the lesser charges.

Under Kansas law this is all supposedly applicable.

What are you even talking about?

Shannon's been CHARGED. When's the same occurred in MSU's program?

The fact you brought up MSU ....., unprompted. How much space does State occupy in your head?
Your program is rape U you fvcking chooch.
Also umprompted?

This is about the stage where three or versions of the "truth" circulate.

Yep. There will be his truth, her truth, and somewhere in the middle will be the real truth which will likely not see the light of day. Fast forward months from now and he will plead guilty to a misdemeanor sexual misconduct.

And he will still be drafted at the same place he would have had this never happened. The NBA has proven time and again that they really don't care about real or perceived character flaws (see Brandon Miller for the most recent example).

Yeah because the university police at MSU refused to pursue rape accusations against MSU basketball players

Rutgers dodges a home defeat at the hands of second year division 1 opponent, 2-11 Stonehill, with 6 scholarship players available.

Went back and read most of this thread, and I gotta say you’re a massive idiot.

Feel free not to respond to anymore of my posts.
Hate to agree with the resident potato, but we have no idea what the victim’s version is. Everything that is out there is likely from Shannon and his lawyer, which will obviously be very one sided.

If we don’t know what the victim’s version is now, we likely won’t.

Like I said before, this isn’t going to trial.

You seem way to confident on that. IF what you are saying is true, there would be two primary reasons why:

1) Victim’s story is bogus (how the fck would you know this?)
2) Victim gets paid off (not a great look for Shannon)

All we know now is that Shannon, his lawyers, and the Illini are doing damage control to set the PR narrative. Either way, this case not going to trial does not necessarily mean Shannon is guilty or innocent.

Shannon has texts from her.

She wanted him to be her boyfriend, which doesn’t exactly make much sense considering these are way after the supposed “rape”.

Also has texts from her trying to coerce him for money.

Anymore questions?

I know this is going to sound crazy, but he’s not putting these on the internet and is making sure they get into the proper channels within the legal system.

Just letting you beforehand, so when the trial doesn’t happen, you (and others here) will know why.
Could be true, but YOU telling us all this doesn’t make it so.

so you are just spreading rumors to a bunch of strangers about two people you have never met regarding a event that happened in a place you have never been.

I can see why you don’t want me to respond to you.

I have no inside info.

I do know our AD is very conservative with risks. Pissed off our best recruiter since the self days and basically fired another asst coach over the Kofi recruitment. He couldn’t prove it but let’s be serious he knows what everyone else assumes and still carried out.

From the second this story came out I thought there was no way the ad would allow TJ to play if he knew about this from September on and it was legit. And then yesterday the AD more or less supported TJ said a lot to me.

Before the speech I thought 0% TJ plays again this year… now I am very optimistic.
