****Official B1G In-Season Thread****

NIce showing tonight......Gonna find out a lot next Friday, @ Xavier. But IU is very deep. Lots of interchangeable parts. Reneau/JHS are really good. Kopp so far seems to have found his stroke.

Can't wait for Hoosiers trip to Xavier.

The Jerome Hunter / Miller family revenge game
Knowing our fortunes-----HUnter will probably drop 40 on IU.... 🤣 .

Man if not for health issues, I think that young man is really special. Shame, really.

They gave a decent background on it on the latest cbs eye on cbb pod, but long story short, the Election pushed the champs classic to next week. They were still critical of coaches scheduling nothing games for this opening week though
Man, it’s been brutal. Outside of Purdue games my biggest draw to watching other games is through betting & these games with 30ish point spreads are unbettable.

Is the start of the season always this shitty? I seem to remember there always being a couple of games to really look forward to in the first week. Just a bunch of glorified exhibitions so far.
Don’t fret, you can watch MSU get butt fvcked by Gonzaga later today

Rutgers beat Sacred Heart, picked to finish 2nd in the NEC (Northeast Conference), by 38. 88-50. Andre Hyatt with 19, Cam Spencer with 18/7, Cliff with 17/7. We look like we are going to be a solid 8 deep when McConnell returns.

They’re a fringe top 300 kenpom team, but I worship this framing

Edit: what is McConnell’s absence due to? Injury?

His knee. Only supposed to hold him out three games. Should be back for Temple which is our first decent test. Albany finished third in the NEC last season and would up 278 in kenpom, so yeah my framing was generous.

Hard not to like what I've seen from Rutgers thru two games, but I'm not about to go @hawkit3113 about my squad. The only thing I think I've learned is this team looks better equipped to kick the s--t out of low majors than our past versions. We share the ball better with no true "alpha" leading to easy/open shots and we make free throws better than past versions.

How will that translate when league play starts without a "star" like Harper Jr or Geo who could get us 20 against the best teams? Time will tell.

It’s important to have goals
Wrong sport. They score points in basketball dummy.

No champions classic in week 1 this year.

Next week instead for some reason

He’s Dwight Howard shooting free throws but yes we needed him to take a jump because front court depth sucks
He will likely improve with all these reps he is getting lol.

Still causing foul trouble for the Zags and doing really well on D and the glass.

Sissoko getting his 4th there sucked.

Kohler just cannot defend Gonzaga’s attackers or Timme lol.

Gonzaga going to win this. All our fvcking bigs in foul trouble.

Sissoko fouled out. That’s fvcking game. Kohler not stopping Timme
