GG @hawkit3113 @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset @ConvenientParking. Not many teams hang 84 on us. Well done. Going to be a sweaty Sunday for Rutgers fans.
I've got you guys in for sure. Obviously the one thing that can hurt anyone floating around that 11 line is upsets in the CTs like Oklahoma and TCU.

I think we see at least a couple bid stealers come Sunday, but I don't think it will be at Rutgers' expense.

I think it's a lot closer than you appear to think.

Quad 1 record:
Indiana 4-7

Michigan 5-10

Worst loss:
Michigan - Home to #110 Minnesota
Indiana - Home to #77 Rutgers

Those are both Q3 but IU's loss might move to Q2 tonight.
SHouldn't that be 5? Michigan was a Q1 win yesterday.....

Mostly true.. but Michigan also only played 7 Q3 games. It wasn’t really gaming the system. They played a crazy hard schedule and COVID cancelled one of their cupcake buy-games.

UM played only 10 total Q3/4 games and lost 1 (home to Minny)

Rutgers played 12 and lost 3 (to dogshit teams)

Some other bubble teams are absurd tho.
ND played 17 and lost 1.
Miami played 17 and lost 3.
Wake played 21 and lost 2.

If the B1G teams are seeded well and all/mostly make it it’s a good thing.. if they are under seeded and snubbed it may be time to consider moving away from the 20 game conference schedule.
I didn't say UM gamed it. I said it's a way to game it which is why they largely ignore it.

My guess is the officials didn't feel Galloway ever gained control, or had a controlled dribble. SOrt of like a "football move", etc, etc.....
Watching on TV, I thought he clearly dribbled. But I could see how an official trailing the play might not see that.

It did look like he dribbled, BUT----was it controlled---or more of a slap, trying to gain control? Like I said, sort of similar to the NFL's. "did he make a football move"....We are taught/told to make sure the dribble is controlled, with intent on advancing, making an offensive move, etc, etc...

50/50 I guess.

Obviously refs at mid court should not call fouls on the baseline and refs trailing a play should probably not call a foul from behind, but I’m curious if these situations are discussed when refs are evaluated or trained??

Absolutely----We have PCA----Primary coverage area's. Sometimes those area's cross over; its why atime you'll hear double whistles, and on rare instances, all three. Rule of thumb is give the primary official , "dibs"----but get it if its there...You might see smeting they cannot---or did not. Its why at times there are "late whistles". We go over "crash/pass" situations----guy drives, passes off---who takes the passer, who takes the pass...Staying with shooters, etc, etc....Most important official most of the time, especially on the break/press, is your center official---lot of coverage/responsibility.

If you go out of your area a lot, you will be called out on it---discusssed, etc, etc....Rarely does that occur at the D1/2 level...Problem with callling out of your PCA is, well simple----if you are "ball watching", or watchng out of your area, well, I mean, who's watching your area???

When I first started, an aold timer told me---"Go home, and watch the game----but do not watch the ball.....Then, pick an official, and be that guy....." Watch what you think/know he/she should be watching...Its so engraved in me now, that I mean, I probably watch 75% of games, not even watching the ball..

Great insight thanks.

Wisconsin took 36 shots to our 25 in the first half. That shit happens every game for us. We need to rebound and not turn the ball over so much better

Iowa will be the least talented team we've played so far in the tournament. I could be wrong but I've never been more confident going against a top 20 team then I am in that game tomorrow.
