Underwood lets players play through in the early season. He did it the past two seasons too. Down the stretch he tightens up rotations. This was a good learning moment for a few guys.
What I love about this Illinois squad is they’ve got a bunch of Gilligab and Matt18Jones in them. They’ll go down taking our haymakers rather than throw in the towel.
Illinois had 4 more turnovers (26) than Marquette had field goals (22). Truly unbelievable

Early season losses mean very little. Its when you get spanked on your bare bottom, back, and balls at home by 20 at the end of the season that really hurts.
Not sure either of those hurt more than losing in the round of 32 as a 1 seed. Idk it’s been awhile since Michigan has lost in that round.

Why would a loss in the highest stakes not hurt more? The wins from that team are my favorite, but the loss was the worst.
