Lol. I think overall I’m pretty level-headed when it comes to discussing Purdue recruits. Sure I’ve been too high on recruits from time to time like Boudreaux but nothing too crazy.

And do you really have room to talk after the McBob Cline debate?
Of course you think you're level headed. We've seen otherwise over the years. I mean, look at the Newman stuff from the other day. Lol. You literally can't help yourself.

Morton, Love, Leal, Saunders

I am sure I will be able to add 277 names to this list after this weekend.

After the weekend... Dawson Garcia, Caleb Love, Troy Galloway, Anthony Leal, RJ Davis, Matt Cross, Ethan Morton, Mike Saunders

Edit: Meant to tag @otte21 since he asked last week.

Pierce is a wing who shot 32% from 3 last season on a garbage 17 loss William and Mary team.

Simmons looked much much better as a transfer coming in (MAC POY) and wasn’t very good. I don’t think Pierce would help UM that much.

However, Wagner would really help. Kids legit.

Beilein's system is much harder for point guards to pick up in 1 year than wings. Maybe Pierce helps, maybe he doesn't, but it's a bit of a different situation than Jaaron Simmons.

Maybe Wagner is really good, maybe he isn't. Hard to know that too.

I think odds would favor finding two solid players out of Pierce/Johns/Wilson/Wagner, though.

The Newman stuff wasn't far-fetched at all lol. What was so crazy about that?

And again, McBob versus Cline takes the cake.

You thought Simmons would be good. I’d be cautious of any mid major transfer.

I'm not guaranteeing he will be good.

We have three good starters set (Simpson, Livers, Teske). By adding Pierce and Wagner, it gives us a decent pool to find the final two starters between Pierce/Johns/Wagner/Wilson.

The Ronnie vs. Yogi and Travis Carroll vs. Zeller were FAR worse than Cline vs. McRoberts.

Just like the Cline v Mcroberts, the Carroll>Zeller and Ronnie>Yogi were the minority of the fanbase. For some strange reason, it's been blown out of proportion over the years where some people legit think that the majority of Purdue fans thought Carroll and Ronnie were going to be better which is laughable and not remotely accurate.

I'll concede the Travis Carroll one, but Ronnie is better than Yogi was absolutely rampant on GBI and with plenty of Purdue fans. It was a widely held view. You were one of the main guys pimping that theory as well. I completely understand why you'd want to downplay it now.

I think 1 MAYBE 2 purdue posters legitimately thought RJ would be better than Yogi but the vast majority knew Yogi was better. But hey you've used this same argument for 5 years why change now right?

That's not true, at all. It may be true with the Travis Carrol held his own versus Zeller stuff, but most of GBI thought RJ was better than Yogi.

Holy hyperbole, Batman! I once again restate my position that a few freeboard posters should never be used to generalize an entire fanbase.

Your hyperbole at it's finest. Did some Purdue fans actually believe it? Absolutely. Was it the majority or anywhere close to that? Nope.

Garcia is the best out of all of them..otherwise

Guard wise: Love, Saunders, Morton, Davis

G/F - Galloway, Leal, Cross

Do you think you guys would take both Leal and Galloway or are they too similar?

If the scholarship number is 2-3 I do not think so. If the number is 4 then yes.

That makes a lot of sense. I personally like Leal better between the two but think Galloway can be good down the road. If he can improve his shot and be someone reliable from there, he can really be a stud IMO.

Yeah I’ve changed my tune a bit on Gallaway. I can see why coaches like him after watching some video.

If we can land Pierce and Wagner I've got Michigan back in the top 15
They are there with Pierce. I suspect Wagner will need an adjustment period of some sort. Pierce is all about 2019 and Wagner is (mostly) about 2020 IMO. I could see Wagner making some noise in Feb/March but he would most likely be ready to explode in 2020.

Well, UNC and Notre Dame want him pretty badly. Just sayin

Galloway is better than Leal. If Leal lived in Ohio no one would give a shit. He is just a good shooter who happens to live in Bloomington. With that said I would take him, but not right now.

I would take Galloway's commitment today, I would hold on Leal. Galloway needs to improve the shot but he does everything else, very very well.

Yep agreed, and his shot looks like it just needs tweaked too. It’s not a Nojel cluster-fvck type of form.

Not a fan of his dad haha. He wasn’t too popular when he was at Carmel when I was there.

Do you think he’ll end up a 4-star when all is said and done?

I think you’re underselling how Wagner could be this year

You have no idea how it works. Missouri doesn't have to directly talk to Cook. They can talk to people around to Cook and vice versa. It happens everywhere all the time.

I'm white, moron. Explain to me how I am racists against whites because I think it's bizarre that your team is completely white. You're just an old, tired racist, and it's been proven on here multiple times. Your multiple bans for racist posts is proof.
I am thru talking to a bigot so off to ignore.

Did you reply twice?
Geezus Gil take your meds.

I never said Mizzery contacted Tyler.
Some would call that tampering, which in case you don't know, is a major No-No in cbb.

Must be tough that your big score over Kansas didn't win a damn thing.
The Jayhawks took another colossal L to Mississippi State in 2016 with regards to Schnider Herard. Man, doesn't KU look like a loser now.

Yeesh
I told you it was a major no no. before you get your panties in a wad, one of the sources that debunked that rumor of the Iowa State beat writer, I will take his word over anything you have to say.

Missery didn't have a open scholly for him. now why would Cook even consider going there,
1st he would have to sit out a year
2nd he would have had to pay his way to school.

can you be that stupid to believe rumors started by msg board posters? sound more like dreaming/wishing on the part of that fan base.

but keep telling yourself someday someone MIGHT consider it.

And yet Pierce shot 42% from three on a better W/M team the year before. He also dealt with a hairline fracture in his hand at the start of this season.

Funny how that works.

He will have more of an impact to Michigan (if he comes) than Brandon Wood (2012) and Bryn Forbes (2015) did when they were solid 26 mpg players on Michigan State in their first year moving up.

looking at the teams announced for Iowa schedule
TT BPI #6 possible 2nd rnd matchup in the Las Vegas tournament
ISU BPI #15 annual matchup
Cinncinnati #27
Creighton #50 1st round matchup
ACC/BT Challenge
BE/BT Challenge
SIU-Edwardsville part of the Las Vagas tourney
Kenesaw State part of the Las Vegas tourney
Iowa had no input in those 2 teams
just added Oral Roberts who return their top 4 scorers

at this point the BPI really is not a good way to judge how good or bad teams will be this year.
but still looks like a step up in the level of competition
