I have no idea how he can call Penn State a lock. They went 14-18 last year and lost their second and third leading scorers, which includes Reaves who was easily their second best player. Also, they're Penn State. They gotta be on the "bubble and out" line.

I'd also have Wisco in the bubble and in line, and think Purdue will be closer to the bubble than they will be to lock.
I think I had similar thoughts as you about Purdue being closer to a bubble team this upcoming season after last season ended. Since then though, I’ve changed my tune a bit.

Other than youth, I really like the structure of this Purdue team. Defense, athleticism, shooters, depth off the bench (granted, unproven depth for the most part). Plus add in what others in the conference lost, and the confidence guys like Wheeler/Trevion/Hunter were playing with on the biggest stage at the end of last season. I’m thinking like a 5 seed type of team. Hopefully turnovers won’t be too big of an issue as you’ve pointed out.

And Bolton transferred to Iowa State. I think they could make it, but I see them as a bubble team.

I think that's fair. No argument from me.
Holy shit he transferred? I missed that. I’d knock them even lower then. I don’t see how they’re even as good of a team as they were last year.

I don't necessarily disagree that strongly with your point. Just suspect we'll start a little slow and be closer to the 7 line.

If the shooting is there out of the gate, we'll be in a very good spot.

Yeah that’s fair. It wouldn’t be shocking to see guys like Wheeler and Sasha struggle in the beginning as they take on an increased role. & obviously Proctor is a complete wild card. But I do love how strong the bench projects to be this season, so hopefully they’ll be able to find someone that has some rhythm & ride the hot hand.

Penn State should be good. Don't know if I would safely assume they're a lock. Iowa is a bubble & out. That is accurate.
My early predictions based on last years performance, known changes and influenced by the Pig Coach factor...

Team high low
MSU 1. 3

Purdue. 1. 6
Mary. 1. 3

Ill. 3. 7
OSU. 3. 7
UM. 3. 8
WIS. 3. 6

Not seeing PSU and yes I drink koolaid but give me credit for at least considering a high variance in the Purdue guess.

Que Gil response in 3, 2, 1.....

Idk what’s more surprising the fact that Mike Watkins is still at Penn State or the fact that he is somehow still on the team?
Hey, leave the guy alone. If he gets arrested again, he will definitely, certainly, ok probably be on his last strike.

It's crazy. It blows my mind a little bit. It's not just Andy Katz, though. Lunardi has Penn State as 10 seed on his bracketology. Bart Torvik has Penn State as the #19 team on his projections (not a huge fan of whatever algorithm he uses in the preseason). Stevens-Watkins is a very impressive frontcourt. Stevens could probably make one of the All-American teams if PSU has .500 record overall. I'm just a bit weary of the guard play. If they play reasonably well, they might be able to squeeze in as a 10 or 11 seed. The more likely scenario, however, is NIT or no postseason.

Yep, that one Purdue fan who said that was a dumbass and got laughed at by the majority of Purdue fans too.
Right up there with Travis Carroll is better than Cody Zeller. That one Purdue fan carries a lot of weight apparently.

take a good look at my avatar.

this is the cyst that was removed from Garza's stomach on Oct 23rd 2018, and he played in Iowa 1st game of the 18-19 season.

most of you would never been able to walk for 3 months, yet Garza ended up 2nd on the team in scoring. that cyst weighed 9 lbs.

this years team has these for returning starters in the previous 2 seasons
Garza as a FR was a All BT FR Teamer 6'11 JR
Wieskamp as a FR was a all BT Teamer 6'6 SO
Pemsl 16 starts as a FR 144 Rebounds 3rd on the team 6'8 RSSR
Nunge 14 starts as a FR 25 Blocks 2nd on the team, 21 steals 3rd on the team as a FR. 5th in scoring RS'd as a SO 7'0 RSSO
key players off the bench
Connor 102 assists 2nd to Jordan who had 118, 23 steals
Kriener 104 rbs, 25 assist, 15 steals and 12 blocks off the bench 6'5 RSSO

key additions
6'0 PG Toussaint FR
6'2 CG Evelyn RSSR
6'4 CG Fredrick FR
6'8 F Patrick FR

last season people were predicting a 10th place or worse finishes. so keep predicting terrible finishes for Iowa.

Bullshit

Quick search showed it was some chicks ovarian cyst

https://www.thesun.co.uk/living/385...ated-tummy-was-mistaken-for-a-gluten-allergy/

this year He is fully healthy, and since he avg'd 13.1 ppg [2nd on the team], 4.5 rpg, 17 blocks, shooting 53% from the field and 80% from FTL. recoverying from that surgery. it will be interesting to see how he does healthy and the offense flowing thru him now that Cook is gone,

he also was 21-72 from 3. as a FR he led the team in blocks with 32 and was 2nd on the team in rebounding with a 6.4 avg with 211 total behind Cook who avg'd 6.8 rpg with 224 total.

that was the year where Pemsl had 144 total 107 defensive.

Tell them to come over here so we can call them out directly for using a picture from what looks like 2017.

No they didn't
you have proof to prove otherwise? it was clearly time stamped October 23rd 2018.
when putting it into my avatar the time stamp was cut off.

the state News Media reported it and clearly stated that the cyst weighed 9 lbs WHICH is bigger than a new born baby. both in size and weight.

but keep the hatin up since it is what you thrive on as well as the others..

BS yourself that was taken off Hawkeye Nations web page which was part of the article that showed that picture and was talked about about on all 4 Hawkeye msg boards as well as me on here right after that surgery,
So if it's on Hawkeye Nation, it's true?!

This makes so, so much sense.
