Having 4 score in double digits is meaningless if you give up 5 scoring in double digits.

hmmm Iowa won 23 games last season and this season they may win more, the defense improved and Fran hired a Defensive minded coach. going from 242/7th to 111/7th is a pretty good improvement, this after Fran brought in a Defensive Guru to work with the team for 6 weeks,
now we get to see how much they improve with a full time coach working strickly on defense and recruiting. primarily the Illinois/Chicago, he already has Ulis in to 20 class. in the last video he was working out with his older Brother Tyler on defense, offense and ball handling,
that would have been fun to watch in person, speed and Athlectism going against each other and watching the younger brother getting better,
as a SO he led his team to 26 wins
as a JR he led his team to 27 wins
not to shabby and pair him up with Toussaint in the 20-21 season and that will be the fastest and most athletic of PG in Fran's tenure.
right now a Site called Peeps is calling Toussaint the steal of the 19 class. 247 has already stated this as well.
we will see this season if they are right.

plus Cook was a TO waiting to happen as he led the team with a avg of 2.8 TO's a game for a total of 92 on the season. that's one stat that won't be missed, he only avg'd 7.6 rpg when he should avg'd over 10 rpg with just scoring 14.5 ppg where he should have avg'g 16 ppg and recorded just 18 blocks on the season. with his athletic ability there was really no excuse for not producing better numbers
sorry Nunge as a FR recorded 91 rebounds, 25 blocks while turning the ball over 32 times, Nunge also shot 33.3 % from 3 while Cook could hit from past 5' with any consistancy also Nunge shot 75.5% from the FTL while Cook shot 66.1% from the FTL,
Nunge at 7'0 is a far better option in the paint,
Whenever a player decides to leave Iowa they are better off without him.
you can't Moss left to be the man at Kansas because he was not going to be the man at Iowa. supposedly a inferior team to Kansas.
we will see what happens going forward maybe/hopefully he will give 100% to Kansas vs the 75/80% on defense and offense for Iowa.

when a player that is replaced by a higher ranked on paper it is easier to say that a player is not a big loss in this Case 4* top 100 Connor or 4* top 100 Wieskamp [#42 by Rivals] major shock can and will both replace Moss.
walk on Baer is being replaced by 4* top 100 Patrick hmmm looks like on paper to be a major upgrade.
already showed who can replace Cook in the lineup. this is case of addition thru substraction for Fran in the 19-20 season.,

No they won't. Last year we saw Fran's ceiling.
Make the tournament under half the time, and lose before the sweet 16.

I just think that’s like the ceiling season, if everything goes well. I sure as hell wouldn’t project them for a 3 seed though.
I’ll eat my underwear if Purdue is a 3 seed or better in the 2020 NCAA tournament.

A 3 seed for Purdue is not hard at all to imagine. Now if we were talking about someone like iu, then yes, that prediction would deserve to get made fun of.

Painter's offensive system has come a long way from where it used to be and the defense was never really a problem. This is why I dont see him having any bad seasons in the future.
She better bone up on his high school stats and rankings. Those are uber important and I think most have forgotten them.

Tyler Cook allowed .841 PPP which rated as "Good" and 56th percentile.
Maishe Daily allowed .769 PPP which rated as "Very Good" and 77th percentile.
Iowa defense gave up .917 PPP which rated as the bottom end of average and was 31st percentile.
So every player he mentioned as hurting the defense actually helped the defense.

you didn't see Fran's cieling. this years teams talent rivals Dr. Tom Elite 8 team and Lutes BT Championship and FF teams.
its just starting, if they add Foster to Ulis in the 20 class plus 2 other players this team will be competing for the BT Championship.
if anybody else had 2 4* outside the top 100 and 4 4* top 100 players they would be raving about how they would compete for the BT Championship and a Elite 8 at least,
only your hatred if Iowa/Fran keeps you from admitting that or refusal. the best part is all 6 4* players return for the 20-21 season with 4* Foster joining them and a healthy Jordan comes back to boot.
hmm rival futurecast says otherwise as does 247. Corey Evans has him going to Iowa from Rivals, with Jerry Meyer of 247 having Foster going to Iowa.
looks like these writers feel more strongly about where Foster is going, you are another one that can't stand the fact that Iowa keeps getting better.
don't have to as Fran does know how to coach defense as the Iowa adj defense in the 12-13 season was 33rd, that team won 25 games
from 12-13 thru 15-16 season the worst was 75th with the middle years being in the 40's,
with Fran hiring a defensive coach this summer and the player ACTUALLY BUY into playing defense. hmmm in the 17-18 season the adj defense was in the mid 240's then in the 18-19 season the adj defense improved to between 111-117 that makes a improvement of between 135-140 spots in adjusted defense, now we will see how much they improve with a full time defensive coach and improved defensive minded and athletic player on the team.

why Dr. Tom is the winningest coach in BT Games and overall in Iowa's history and was run off after the last sweet 16 that Iowa played, not to mention 9-0 in NCAAT 1st rnd games,
not even Lute can say that, as he lost in the 1st rnd twice including the year Iowa shared the BT Championship with MSU
right now Fran is 3rd behind Lute and Davis for the most BT wins in Iowa's history AND 2nd overall wins in Iowa's history. Fran is not going anywhere.
