Um is expected some guard attrition and is trying to find a combo guard late. Lester quinones scheduled an official to um for April 29th, iu is also involved. Also rumblings Harland Beverly will be officially visiting um soon.

Both of those players are making officials to IU and Michigan. Beverly had a really good game yesterday. Had been said he wants to stay out of the B1G tackle basketball, but seems to be opening more to it.
Harland Beverly is a name I hadn’t heard in a while. I know we were recruiting I’m at SG but then kinda went full force with Rocket and got him instead, which I’m happy with.
Beverly is a good player. I think either school would be very happy with him. If MSU didn’t get Rocket I would want us to go full force for him.
Again, more useless stats that no one actually reads or cares about, so I made sure not to quote them again.

I mentioned athleticism, which anyone that doesn't have a slanted view on things, can see that Iowa lacks in a big way. I could give two shits if they are white, brown, purple, or orange. We suck at defense because we lack foot speed, and our offense is worthless against teams with quick guards because we aren't quick enough to penetrate against them. And that all leads back to teams being more athletic than Iowa, not more black than Iowa, which is what you inferred, not I.

you need to follow someone else you will never be happy with what happens. 20 years ago people like you didn't like what was happening with Sweet 16's and a perfect record in 9 1st round NCAAT games.
just look what happened, in 11 seasons Iowa went to 3 NCAAT and 3 NIT games,
3 BT season with a .500 or better record. winning just 1 NCAAT game,
yeah they really upgraded the coaching to a higher level of winning all those BT Championships, FF's, Elite 8's and Sweet 16's
Fran has 4 NCAAT trips with 3 NCAAT wins in the last 6 years, 3 NIT trips making the NIT Championship game in his 3rd year, doing this with just 2 top 100 players.
having the 3rd best win total by 4 year starters in Iowa's history, to me Fran is doing pretty damn good considering the mess the program was in,
losing in OT to #2 seed Tennessee showed just how much this team improved since Iowa's last trip to the NCAAT.

the advantage that Garza bring is he has range out past the arc. vs Cook who had a little range out to 10'. Cook shot 64.4% from the FTL. shooting 0% from 3 vs Garza who shot 80.4% from the FTL and 21 of 72 from 3. not that good but good enough to make defense respect his outside shooting ability.
scoring is about even, rebounding about even, Garza is a better shot blocker

And my hatred for Fran stems from his outbursts on the court, and his lack of success at Iowa. 3 trips to the tournament in 9 years is terrible.
If you're happy with .500 in conference play, good for you, but some of us dont like being average, or less than average.

I can't wait to watch Connor shoot 15% from 3 again next year and dribble past the 3 point line twice a game. I love dribbling out 20 seconds of the shot clock in a 10' radius way outside of his range.
Kid needs to focus on baseball, because he isn't going to put in the time in of the off season to improve his game (because he'll be playing baseball, the sport he actually excels at)

Knight back on IUs campus for the first time since his firing. As much as I have grown to not being able to stand the guy. I would still be very happy to see him make an appearance at one IU game. I do think the health is a real issue and him calling IU and saying he wanted to be at the baseball game today, is a big step in the right direction.
