Yeah I saw that. Really happy for him. Wished things had worked out for him but glad he’s doing well. Do you remember why he left Purdue?
Bad trade looking at it now, but Kendall probably needed that year off last year that he wouldn’t have gotten at Purdue
Eh, I'm still fine with it. He was a great shooter - but was a totally one-dimensional player who never really played up to his potential and physical gifts. Had all the tools to be a lethal 3-and-D guy, but was never locked in on that end of the court.
Plus, I'm not sure we see the development in Mathias if those three are still trying to split minutes last year.
That was part of it but wasn’t a big part of it because his best friend died? He really struggled after that from what I remember.
Think him transferring was probably best for him to clear his mind and get a fresh start.
That probably was part of it. After he started losing minutes he took that leave of absence from the team for a week or two and then never really got back in the rotation.
As you said, I think it was good for both parties for him to get a fresh start elsewhere; couldn't have been easy trying to live up to his dad's legacy on top of everything else.

Xavier Tillman needs to start above Nick Ward next year. Nick has a poor attitude, and really isn’t good at anything expect post offense. Xavier has better vision, higher basketball IQ, a harder worker, a much better attitude, and plays a lot better defensively. You are sacrificing a bit of offense for everything else. I think it makes sense.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Ward transferred. I hope he doesn't though, seems like the type of player who will flourish playing 4 years under Izzo. He's gotta buy in to the system and process though, otherwise he's gonna be a cancer.
Correct. He does not buy into our system at all. He thinks he deserves more minutes, but the truth is, he doesn’t. He is awful against centers 6-11 or taller, or ones that can stretch the floor (or both like Mo Wagner). He is turnover prone in the post and won’t pass out of double teams. He also lets the emotions get the best of him and complains about every call. He sits there and pouts whenever he gets benched and doesn’t even cheer on the team. He also doesn’t have great conditioning so he can’t play a ton. He might stay, but him transferring or playing in Europe is a really possibility. His mom is also clearly not happy with the minutes he is getting.
Well when you've actually won something, you're allowed to do this...

Been around for awhile. Dad had been upset since Mark chose Illinois over MSU. Still has a meeting with Whitman and Underwood from what I gathered. Big shake ups coming to our roster this week.

Underwood. Nothing is definitive at the moment, but it's going to be a busy spring.
Smith's dad thinks Underwood misled them about giving Smith the keys to the kingdom. Hard to give a guy the keys when he plays like Mark did this season.

Not surprising a kid who explodes like that comes in with a big head...or a father with a big head.
I still think he will be a good one up he sticks around for you but if he/dad are going to be issues don’t blame Underwood to cut the ties

Among Wisconsin's former players, I'd say Jason Bohannon and Josh Gasser are head coach materials, although Krabbie is already on Gardo's staff.
Can we stop with this? It’s not close to accurate. Off the top of my head, there are at least 3 or 4 that are better (including the Hummel team before the injury). Purdue benefitted this year from a down B1G. Hardly their best team ever.
