Can he shoot?
Decent...easily the thing he needs to work on most minus strength but he has been known to hit a few 16-17 footers on the baseline
Can he shoot?
I’ll take it if Nick Ward stays and Mo Wagner leaves. Anything else, and I’d pick Michigan.
Shot 55% fromthe field. Has a nice mid-range shot. Can get to the rim. Very athletic. ust a soft finisher. But that will change as he puts on weight. Had he not had a ton of missed bunnies, or had them blocked, he probably would've shot nearly 70%. Very good shooter. Can he shoot?
I hink he's better than decent. SHot selection has hurt his percentage. Plus his inability to finish at the rim; very soft there. That will change as he gets sgtronger, and more experience. This kid is going to be really good.Decent...easily the thing he needs to work on most minus strength but he has been known to hit a few 16-17 footers on the baseline
the scoring is not what I LIKE it is his rebounding and shooting %'s at the stripe and from the field plus what he did against some of the best players in his class,You are the only one that posts about high school stats. I’d be embarrassed to be you man, talked mad shit in the off-season, and then your team proceeds to finish 12th in the Big Ten. Stop
I pretty much agree with that, expect if Wagner leaves and Ward stays, I’d give MSU the slight edge.If they both leave Michigan will better. If Wagner leaves but ward stays they should be pretty even.

Ehh, he forces his shot terribly. He has a smooth stroke, he just needs better shot selection.Until Mgck convinced me not to buy into Langford I would’ve agreed

Uhh, positionally no. They also don’t fit our system. Livers is the perfect UM recruit. They are much better fits for them.Would you trade Langford for Livers or Johns?

Prepare to be embarrassed then, because this is going to be you next season.
I don't understand this Langford flaming. No one said he should be Kobe out there. He shot 44% from 3 this year (39% during conf play) and averaged 3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Those are all as good as Duncan Robinson, who was just named 6th man of the year.
Why is it that Langford has to be a lockdown defender, but other B1G wings don't? What does someone like Ryan Cline do better than Langford?
Well no one would make the mistake of calling Duncan Robinson a good starter. He lost his starting position to a true freshman.

Well, you just compared your starting 2-guard to Purdue's bench wing. But for comparison's sake, Cline shoots it better from 3 (41% in B1G) and has a better assist average as well as assist-to-turnover rate; and Cline has a better DRtg as well, though neither one of them are standouts at that end to this point.I don't understand this Langford flaming. Ah, that makes sense, then. Although, I don't think there's any Purdue fans expecting to compete for a conference title next year. Will definitely have a chance to see if Langford's relative lack of production is due to the wealth of talent around him the past two years or if he is what we've seen to this point and can be viewed as a pretty overrated recruit.I used Cline because someone keeps dogging on MSU returning Langford, while not mentioning that Cline is probably starting for Purdue next season.
yeah
You feel Livers is clearly above Langford going into next year? I understand that they don't play the same position exactly.
Livers stats for the 12 games he started; 3.3ppg, 1.9rpg, 0.3apg to 0.7tpg, 36.8% from 3.

Haha, yeah, I'd hope so. Return at least two all-conference guys.I'm not sure MSU is competing for a title next year either, but I have a feeling they'll be better than 12th and out of the tournament.
Really not a part of his game. Only took 9 attempts-----hit 3. Maybe he develops that. I dunno. But he can get to the rim. Very athletic. Nice mid-range game. Handles the ball. He's going to be a really, really good player. And if he were to develop a 3 point shot? Oh, boy.I’m talking 3’s. If he can’t make 3’s I don’t know how much better than Iverson he’ll be.
I didn't say that

I’m literally multi quoting Matt every single time he says something about us being bad next year.
Let’s do a bet. I MSU finishes 7 or higher, I win, 8 or lower, you win.
I'm not putting words in your mouth, I'm asking. You asked mgc_07 if he'd trade Langford for Livers, so I wanted to hear your thoughts.

No one is saying he has. He also had a pretty bad injury before his FR season, which hindered his development. It’s not impossible for him to have a breakout year, but he has been pretty bad so far. Here’s my question for you:
Langford was a 5* rated as the 20th best player for his class. Do you think he’s lived up those expectations? I think it’s a solid no.
