Figured this one would be a good one to pin to the top. Like the transfer thread, this will allow us to keep up with which players, if they aren't transferring, are staying or declaring for the draft.

So far for Kentucky:
Keion Brooks has declared without signing and agent.
TyTy Washington has signed with an agent.

Players Returning:
Sahvir Wheeler
Damion Collins
CJ Frederick
Jacob Toppin
Lance Ware

Up in the air still:
Shaedon Sharpe
Oscar Tshiebwe

Players leaving not due to transfer:
Davion Mintz (exhausted eligibility)
Kellan Grady (exhausted eligibility)

Lets have em!

FWIW, guys can sign with an approved agent and still return. Not saying Toney will, but he can (assuming it’s an approved agency).

For FSU:

Going pro:
Anthony Polite - Probably won’t be NBA, but either way he’s not gonna use his Covid year.

Returning:
Matthew Cleveland

Unclear:
John Butler
Caleb Mills
Malik Osborne

Can't find a list, but I think Toney's agency (The Familie) is approved. IIRC they represent Oscar. Again, not sure, I'll try and look up more when I get home.

Hard to find a list of approved agencies.

Pretty surprised Cleveland is not testing draft waters. Pretty sure he was a top 30 and had a pretty good year as a 6th man. Most of FSU’s 6th men get drafted in the lottery lol

Really want to know what Love and Bacot do. Without any insider knowledge I'd guess Love has one foot out the door and Bacot is squarely on the fence.

I think them both returning is better than most. Bacot could be NPOY next year. His stats weren't that far off of this years NPOY.

Then again, I think Sharpe and Oscar will both return, so what do i know?

Not sure what to think about Cam Martin. He seems to be solidly committed, yet all the fans think he has zero chance of coming back. Then again, they’ve been wrong plenty of times. I’m not even sure he’s eligible to transfer again.

I think the smart move for Wilson would be to come back. He’s not getting drafted and he can probably earn more from NIL next year than he would going pro.

Yeah, it is bizarre to me how many people seem to forget this is a thing now, even sports writers whose job it is to report on it. I don't know how many articles I've already read that say something along the lines of so-and-so has signed with an agent, no longer eligible to return to school. Not necessarily the case, unless the agent hasn't been approved by the NCAA. I assume most of these borderline guys are hiring approved agents, otherwise they either aren't very bright or have already determined they won't be returning to school regardless of draft projection.

Cam isn't going anywhere.

I love Wilson, but I'd rather have KJ for another 2-3 years than Wilson for 1 more. Don't see both coming back, but you never know I guess.

I'm ok with that.

He can’t shoot so he’s undraftable. 55% from FT line, 17% from 3.

Wow didn't realize it was that bad. I clearly used the UVA game to inform my impression of him. Felt like he just owned us the last few minutes of that game. Makes more sense why he's coming back now.

I'm pretty sure Oscar is coming back. I can have unrealistic hope that Sharpe comes back until he says otherwise. Kentucky is a title contender if both return.

I think the only way Sharpe comes back is if he is not eligible for the draft. Somehow it still seems that no one knows the answer to that question, which is dumbfounding.

Yea, I'm not expecting his situation to be resolved any time soon, either. Oscar has said he will let us know two weeks max, I feel like Shaedon could easily drag this thing into May.

I assume everyone knows Sharpe coach. I'm sure everyone read everything family and said coach to this point. Maybe not, it's hard to to take them at their word. Sharpe is an exceptional talent. Maybe he's different from those before. Seems out of character from all of them.

I know you probably weren’t in the mood to hear it at the time, but when I started that “well great game thread” right before the prayer was answered, it was largely because there was no way he was gonna make FTs.

Seriously, him hitting the FT after the and one at the end of the game was more unlikely and impressive to me than him hitting the fluke turn around three at the buzzer.

I haven't seen a whole lot of KJ Adams, but of the little I've seen, I like. Seems like he has a ridiculously high motor.
We like him too. Internet rumors say he's not going to be willing to ride the bench again next year, and also not keen on playing the 5.
If Wilson returns, he's going to lock up 80+% of the minutes at the 4, and we have some other guys that are probably better equipped to play the 5.
We've got 2 good freshman coming in with MJ Rice and Gradey Dick, so I don't see Wilson moving over to the 3 much. I don't see us moving away from having 4 ball handlers on the floor at all times, which KJ is not.
Unless Braun returns (unlikely), I would actually rather have Wilson leave now than KJ. 2-3 years of KJ will be more valuable than 1 year of Wilson. KU is going to be in "rebuilding" mode next year.

I really thought he might come back thanks to NIL. I guess sometimes guys decide that it’s time to move on.
I think ego gets in the way of sound business decisions. Rumor has it he is walking away from $750K-$1MM in NIL money. I'm guessing he gets a 2nd round non-guaranteed contract and spends most of his time in the G League.

Thanks for the list. Had no idea that Toppin was testing the waters. I don’t think anyone would expect him to stay in.

Will be interesting to see if more people testing the waters return this year due to NIL.
