NBA Bubble Thread

The Lakers are Davis and LeBron and that’s it. Portland will beat them.

Lakers in 6. Lakers shot 15% from 3 and 65% from FT line and still had the lead late.

That said, neither team feels like a true contender to win the West. Blazers cannot keep teams off the offensive glass and the Lakers somehow have no shooters in modern basketball.

Lol Lebron keeps bringing up the fact there is no fans in the bubble as to the reason the Lakers aren't playing well. Yeah, it's only you guys dealing with it. Eyeroll

Pretty much called it. I was on the fence about last nights game. I’ll stand by what I said the other day and also say lakers in 6. It’s wild to see a team like Portland (who has a few high powered offensive players) but not have a strong defensive presence, and as you mentioned can’t keep teams off the offensive glass...play the Lakers who are stacked asf in the front court, yet their shooting just isn’t there. KCP stunk it up last night, and Danny Green didn’t look much better.

Since the restart in Orlando, the Lakers stand last in points per game (106.4), 19th in field goal percentage (43.8%) and last in 3-point percentage (30.3%)

They've been one of the worst shooting teams all season and the worst shooting team since the restart. If the Lakers are expecting to magically get better at shooting during this series, they are going to be disappointed.

If they shoot 30% from 3 last night they win. Yes, the Lakers have been bad but they won’t be THAT bad the whole series.

If I’m a Blazers fan, I’d be concerned after last night.

I could play the if game for any team at any point. The Lakers haven't looked good, you don't need stats to tell you that. I was close to picking Portland before the series started anyways, after last night, I feel more confident about them.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Answering a question. What is to you? Were you born an asshat, or did you learn that at U6?

Jazz destroying the Nuggets at full strength right now. Mitchell going off again.

Also, that Nets game was exciting earlier. Love Levert...that dude can flat out ball.

We will see. I picked Portland to win game 1, but the Lakers to win the series. I still feel good about that for now. We will see if game 2 changes things.

Mavs started out hot but Clipps inching their way back. This game is a toss up imo, but I feel like the Clippers will probably get the dub.

Clippers looked bad on defense last night. Really bad. Think it will help getting Pat Bev back, he's kind of the lightning rod for them on that side. Still, Mavs should have a lot of confidence after last night

When’s he supposed to be back? Wasn’t it just a calf strain or something?

I'm really looking forward to seeing this series finish with Pat Bev back in the lineup for the Clippers. He sets the tone for the Clippers on defense.

Wild. I had OKC winning this series. So far, Houston looks like a bad matchup for them.
It was honestly a miracle they made the playoffs with that roster. Chris Paul’s best job to date as a leader. What he did with that team was very impressive. Figured Houston would win in 5 or 6

LeBron being LeBron...Better worry about Lillard, and not the lack of fans.

AD looking dominant. He’s the key to this series imo. If he plays up to his talent, dude is unstoppable. Loved that pull up 3 too.
They have absolutely no one that can guard him. And it’s almost not fair when LBJ and him are both on the blocks. Double comes to LeBron and Davis has an easy dunk every time.

McCollum and Dame need to do their thing, but imo Melo needs to start making shots when they double Lillard or Mccolum.
CJ looks off tonight. Not sure what it is. Dame looks like he’s trying to force it a little too. I’m not sure why, if the pressure should be on any team it’s the Lakers. Let’s see what the Blazers do after the break. 17 points is hardly anything in the NBA

It’s probably his fractured back lol.

This was a pretty predictable result. The Lakers weren’t going to shoot 15% from 3 in back to back games, and AD wasn’t gonna go like 6-25 in back to back games.

He looked fine on Tuesday. Either way, I could end up wrong about this series. Won’t be the last time

I was going to post about how the Lakers won’t shoot this good again and checked the stats. They are only shooting 33 percent from three. Just so dominant in the post against Portland.

Portland is a horrendous defensive rebounding team. Among the worst in the league. Tough matchup.

Portland has to hit 3s to win this series. So far they haven't shot the ball well and are lucky to be tied 1-1

Man, he looked good out there. Jazz look solid as anyone when Mitchell, Conley, Gobert are clicking. I still think this series goes to 7.
