Louisville @ #2 Virginia on Wednesday.

I'll just go ahead and get this out of the way now

If UVA does lose, I will blame it on the fact that it's really difficult to get up for an inferior team after a big win on the road.

63 - UVA
54 - UofL

Score doesn't reflect the game because of late game ft's.

We have to get defensive rebounds if we want to have a chance. Can't allow UVA to have 2nd chance offensive possessions.

UofL has one of those can’t miss on threes or free throws nights and shocks them
UofL 82
UVA 75

On the plus side, you can't say we haven't faced tough road environments; on the negative side you also can't say we haven't exactly stormed the Bastille on the road though we did have decent wins in South Bend and Tallahassee.

I've liked our approach all year as it's been business-like, but we've done a lot of circular fire on the road and flat spit the bit down the stretch in the Purdue, Seton Hall, Clemson and Miami games. UVA is a whole different animal and we just haven't found a way to speed them up defensively or take quality shots offensively. Ironically as close to a quality half was in Charlottesville last year sans Mathiang and Adel with VJ King having a career night but we ultimately have that ten minutes of basketball where we look like a horse needing to put to sleep. Most other UVa matchups have seen quick deficits and we seem to be out of the game from the opening tip.

They're not exactly a world beater, lets not kid ourselves here. They're pretty good, but when UVA is at the top of the rankings, CBB as a whole is exponentially down. SmokinSmile

Is Hunter going to play @jhmossy ? How's depth look without him?

He said it was a mild sprain but I don't know if he'll play yet or not. It would definitely be a big loss as he's a difficult matchup and an excellent defender. We'd probably only go 7 deep without him.

We seem to be dealing with some flu issues.

Here are Bennett’s quotes from the coach’s show:

“We didn’t have very many guys to practice today. This is the lowest we’ve had. DeAndre, we held him for practice, and it’ll be day-to-day. We’ll see how that goes, regarding that. And then a couple guys have, you know, some flu symptoms so hopefully we’ll get them healthy and be ready to go.”

On Isaiah:

“I believe he’s feeling better, getting better. In [the Duke] game it was more foul trouble, and then we decided to slide Dre into the high post. But I hope he’s trending, moving in the right direction.”

UVA opens up as a 12 point favorite per Vegas Insider.

Load up on the Ville. UVA may have a good number of players out for the game. Wilkins and Hunter battling injuries, Hall and Diakite battling the flu.

Florida State and ND. Felt big at the time.

I still can't believe we gave away the game to UL. Just a total collapse. Embarrassing (no offense to y'all, I just don't think this team should ever be blowing a 17 point lead at home to anyone).

But yeah, being the only team to win in Tallahassee over the last 32 games is a pretty darn nice accomplishment. I'm looking forward to our shot at revenge on Saturday.

What’s up w/ Hunter and Wilkins?

Wilkins hurt his back in the Clemson game. He played in the Duke game so I'm sure he'll be good to go.

Hunter sprained his ankle in the Duke game. He said it's a mild sprain but his status is more up in the air.
