Juwan Howard

Well-true- getting a DUI puts you in the potential chance of taking a life or seriously injuring someone as well. Few got 1 game, I think Wilson from KU got 3 games. However, those actions, while worse, didn't occur on the court, which Howard's did. Add to the fact he charged at Turge last Big Ten tourney , not a good look for Howard obviously.

My prediction- like Jay Williams, suspended the rest of regular season and Big Ten Tourney..

I'm not saying Howard shouldn't be suspended for a lengthy period of time, perhaps even fired. I just think it's crazy that Few's suspension was so incredibly lenient. More than 10,000 people each year die as the result of a drunk driver.

Just seems wild to me that a DUI is most likely going to get a shorter suspension than a slap.

I agree with Devilz. A DUI you literally chance killing sometime. Howard is a punk, but it’s hard to justify suspending him more games than Few imo. I doubt Michigan fires him.

Valid points Devilz. What also hurts Howard- after he punched or slapped the coach for Wisconsin, his players started throwing punches- if that didn't happen would be less drama, or even a fake apology during the presser would have helped to.

I agree that driving drunk is worse than slapping someone, but one was done while doing his job for the university while one was a mistake that happened in Few’s personal time. What I do at the office as a representative of my employer may have worse ramifications by my employer.

Also, I'm not seeing anyone, with the exception of that one tweet from a Michigan fan, talk about Davison using the n-word. I remember when UNC's Makhtar Ndiaye spat in the face of Utah's Britton Johnsen during the 1998 Final Four. Ndiaye claimed that Johnsen hurled a racial slur. Rick Majerus was certain that was not the case; he even said he would quit his job if it was later revealed to be true. And sure enough, Ndiaye eventually admitted that it didn't happen.

Brad Davison appears to be the most hated player in college basketball. He's an easy target. Has a long history of cheap shots, including in that very game. Just feel like there would be more people talking about his use of the n-word if it actually happened.

It was a dumbass Iowa fan who tried to start that rumor because he hates Wisconsin and Davison.

I'm guessing the following suspensions:

Gard - 1 game just because
Howard - 2 games (that's the B1G rule and I doubt Michigan goes beyond that because they don't have a history of coming down on coaches and players)
Krabbenhoft - 1 game
Every player who threw a punch - 1-2 games depending on how egregious it was done.

If the Michigan players get 2 games, I will agree with it and be simultaneously irritated at the same time because Michigan hosts Illinois Sunday and we are battling them for the B1G title.

PS - I could see Michigan coming out with a statement of "In light of this and the previous incident involving Mark Turgeon, we've placed Juwan Howard on a zero tolerance probation. Any further confrontation of this nature will result into severe discipline up to and including the possibility of termination".

All that's left is for a Michigan student to say what's up Jdog to him.

A HC doesn’t get personal time. They are a representative of their college or professional club. Just the way it is.

And yet he’ll probably get punished more for this on-court offense than he probably would have for something most of us would consider worse off the court.

Lol I like that everyone thinks there should be larger punishments handed down, but are saying they'll get what amounts to a slap on the wrist as they roll their eyes......😆

Based on everything I'm hearing today, I would be shocked if there aren't some stiff punishments and examples being made by the Big Ten/Mich-Wisc.

I do believe that Michigan will still keep Howard, though, but he's pretty much down to his final strike....

Juwan being delusional and not thinking he did anything wrong and not apologizing shows a real lack of self awareness.

There could be high level talks at UM about Howard being a liability moving forward for the school. Howard is a child and has anger issues.

Whoever that is on twitter probably posts here, where I first saw the rumor being reported before that tweet was sent out.

Racism is apparently very common at Wisconsin. Corch Ju should be commended for standing up against white supremacy

It’s also pretty well known that this fan in question is actually Brad Davison’s best friend from high school. Despicable.

The University of Wisconsin athletics department denounced a UW fan’s actions during Tuesday’s Badgers men’s basketball game at Northwestern.
The fan was seated across the court from the UW bench and adjacent to the Northwestern student section

They are a mess. Totally redneck state. Plus they also have a rock on campus that represents white supremacy.

You would think by the point of the press conference he would be thinking to himself, "wow, I really f-ed up... better commence damage control." Nope, he stood by what he did. Said he thought he needed to defend himself. C'mon bro, defend yourself from what? Dude put his arm on your elbow in a non-threatening way and you're using that as your excuse to lose your mind? Besides, that excuse doesn't even make sense because he was talking about Gard, but Gard isn't the coach he went apeshit on. 😆 The overall attitude that it wasn't a big deal and thinking he was justified is just as bad as the act itself.
