Ironically, while the Sampson years were their heyday, the year after he graduated is their last FF, in '84.Virginia isn’t really a traditional power either. They had the Ralph Sampson era and now the Bennett years but not a pretty middle of the road history

True, but they would be more likely to win a NC, then Texas Tech, most years. Plus where they are located is a basketball hot bed.
Techs PG is from Italy and they have several key grad transfers.
