Florida State has everything that should give UNC trouble. They are big, play good defense, shoot well from outside, play a ton of guys, and rebound very well. They are also hot and catching UNC coming off a big win and UNC plays better on the road than at home. I think Roy is undefeated the game following the first Duke game but this feels like the wrong team is favored to me. Seems like a perfect spot for an upset (though would only be a slight one tbh).

No reason FSU should beat UNC at home. I kno anything can happen but UNC should win this game.

If this were in Tallahassee I’d be picking FSU easy. But winning on the road is never easy. UNC shot something like 2-22 from three against Duke, with many misses being WIDE OPEN. Doubt that happens two games in a row.

If UNC is hot from 3 as I expect (seems like a lot of teams get hot from 3 against us...GT most recently), then FSU will have to do what it does best—crash the glass, protect the rim, and get to the free throw line. I’m pretty confident in 1 and 2, but less confident about the third, especially in the Dean Dome.

An 8 game winning streak has to end at some point. I’ll say UNC 84, FSU 80.

I said in my post above that anything can happen but UNC is at home and playing good ball. They should win this game! Not saying FSU can’t because they can but if I was betting on it (and I am) I would bet on UNC.

That’s fair. Just seems like “I’m betting UNC wins” isn’t the same has “there’s no reason FSU should win.”

I’m probably just being sensitive. A lot of folks still think FSU is just a fluke.

Vegas says Heels by 7. And those guys are pretty good.

Ehh. Vegas said Duke by 9 over Heels. Vegas said Clemson by 2 over FSU this past Tuesday (FSU won by double digits).

Vegas just wants equal betting on both sides of the action. Obviously UNC is the more known and presumed better team by the public.

FWIW, I do have y’all winning.

You think it's fair to judge Vegas on that one?

That’s my point. I’m not judging Vegas. They still won. Their goal is to just get action on both sides and then take the juice in the middle. The house always wins.

Zions injury.

What about it? Did it impact the FSU/Clemson game? How about the Syracuse/UL game? Or what about the Syracuse/FSU game? What about the UNC/Miami game? Or the Duke/Virginia game?

The thing is the bettors that move the line don’t care about fandom. Sharps don’t bet w their hearts, Gambling 101. And for all the Carolina fans that bet $50 on the game, one sharp’s 10K bet means a lot more. In short, Vegas doesn’t give a shit that Carolina is more popular than FSU.

I like Carolina in this one. Heels feel like they are beginning to click for a March run. See you in the Final 4 mfers.

I'm going. Get ready to leave shortly to watch the lacrosse game first, then onto the DES.

Take the points here if you want to bet this game

More you look at this game the bigger it is. Heels win and the map to a 1-seed is really there. Should win the next three, and then the rematch w the best team (with Zion) in the land. Huge game today.

Agreed. And an FSU win puts a 3 seed in the ACCT very much in play for the Noles, and even a 2 seed in the NCAAT.

FSU always makes me nervous. They always play UNC tough. Wouldn’t shock me to see FSU pull out a close one.
