ESPN's Way Too Early Top 25 (Updated Today)

Jesus you guys are obsessed.

No I didn't go to Notre Dame. I made this profile when I was 16. I went to Cal Poly Slo. I still enjoy watching ND football, but it is rare you hear me bringing them up.

Fugaze. Lol.

Well, I am a UK fan and your program sucks dog dicks, like you mom.

Stop getting so triggered. 1979 isn't THAT long ago.

Bahahaha...couldn't even type that with a straight face.

I just randomly picked you months ago and I am still fvcking with you daily.

Do you notice you are the only KU still talking Iowa and responding to me?

I can't even throw you out of the boat. Lol. You just keep jumping back in it. RollLaugh

Dude you can't use sucks as a comeback when I already said you suck. If I wanted my own comeback then I would have just wiped it off your mom's chin.

RollLaugh

You had to write your own narrative to come up with that comeback. What a loser.

Saw a number the other day:
30% of pre-sold 2021 championship game tickets were bought by Iowa fans.

Palm has Iowa has a 2 seed,
based on Garza coming back, one has Iowa as a 5 seed if he doesn't.

Iowa will still be a high scoring team with or with out Luka, the guards will be quicker and more athletic than years past,
JW and CM were very solid defemders, the question will be who plays the 5. does Fran go small at all 5 position or does he go 4 G and 1 big with 7' Nunge in the middle, Nunge looked quicker than Luka and as a fr had 25 blocks 2nd to Luka and 21 steals 3rd behind Baer who had 27 and JBo with 22.

plus he was 5th on the team in scoring.

So how many tickets did you buy?

none can't go due to health issues.

this may all go down the drain as rumors are swirling that Weezy may leave for the NBA, if Luka and Weezy both leave, that will leave it up to the 6 FR having to play major minutes with one of them having to start.
posted this on the out of BT season thread but it should be posted here
PG SO Toussaint backup FR Ulis
SG RSSO Fredrick backup RSSR JBo/FR Perkins
WG RSJR Connor backup RSFR Patrick/FR
F FR Keegan
C RSJR Nunge backup FR Ogundele

off the bench 2 players to be named later, will Fran go after a pair of GT's or just bank them for the 21 class as the 20 class already has 6 FR in it.

Assuming there actually is even a season next year, what do you think we can expect?

Players are not doing any kind of organized practice right now so that's definitely going to take it's toll if this keeps up. I'm sure everybody is still playing pick up but that's a lot different than running sets. Seems like next year might be pretty sloppy. Better than nothing though I guess.

If there is a season I'm guessing the games will be in front of no fans so you have to wonder how teams react to that (Missouri gonna thrive, IMO).

I don't think this virus is going away anytime soon and a lot of people are predicting winter of 20/21 peaks that have higher infection rates than there are right now. SARS, the Spanish Flu and several other flu pandemics have always had peaks and valleys until there was an available vaccine. I think all sports will be negatively affected by this for atleast a year into 2021. It will be interesting to see how college sports go about their business with everything that's happening.

not to sure if they will find a true vaccine, as some who have tested positive have not got sick, they have a immune system in place so its just a matter of getting the others the ability to build up their own immunity to the Virus.

this may turn out just like influenza type of virus where people need get a shot once a year.

as for this seasons BB they can't start practice till October, although coaches can work in small groups over the summer months. for Iowa their new commit have wait for their school to get done, then get here in June. pretty sure the other college operate with the same limitations.

I'll be irate if this affects the next basketball or football season. In retrospect, I think it was absurd to cancel the NCAAT. KU was robbed of their best title opportunity in a long time thanks to grossly exaggerated numbers pushed by pharma-funded media. Next, the Chiefs might be robbed of a chance at back to back SBs. All due to the agendas of assholes, few of which have anything to do with public safety.

A legitimate estimate of the actual death rate is probably about 0.2% in the U.S.

KU, always the bridesmaid never the bride.

Not sure why the media is so adament about us not getting back to normal. Maybe they need the TV ratings.

Bill Self was gonna get a lesson from his old boss in the Final Four this year. This was FSU’s year!

Same, man. The American people need sports. I don't care at all about baseball, and my golf tournaments have already been saved, so that's good. But the two big ones are basketball and football. This whole year will suck if we lose everything.

I'm not sure you understand who the bride is in terms of the NCAA tournament.

Also, if KU is the bridesmaid, then Iowa is the usher on the groom's side.

Shut up doosh, before I drag my massive sweaty dong across your face.

So, in that scenario, I would be Iowa and you would be Iowa's opponents in the NCAA tournament?
2nd rnd most of the time.

but I am not going to complain as 32 didn't make it out of the 1st rnd every year, where Iowa is just 1 of 16 that didn't make it out of the 2nd rnd.

If a team returns EVERYONE back from a squad that went 9-9 in the toughest conference and was a coin flip to make the tourney (meaning ranked around 40), you'd prolly have them in the top 10-15.

Now add an instant starter, sure fire lottery pick, top 10 recruit to that roster and you should have a top 10 ranking, easy.

Unless your coach is shaka con. Then you might crack the top 25.

Big 12 is not the toughest conference lol. The Big Ten had 12 of their 14 Teams ranked higher on KenPom than Texas last year.

The Big Ten had 12 of the top 34 teams on a Kenpom. It wasn’t even a debate the Big Ten was the best conference last year.

Big 12 was down last year. Reason why we saw 2 Top 5 teams all year.
All those teams bring a lot back. Didn't get a chance to see any separation because we didn't get a Big 12 Tournament and a NCAA Tournament.
Who knows if Texas Tech would have ran Texas off the court in KC. What if the opposite would have happened.

Because Chris Beard/TX Tech and Bob Huggins/WVU have showed the ability to win a lot of regular season games at a high level they will get the benefit of the doubt.

Ultimately ESPN has them all around a 3-5 seed next year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Texas starts in the low 20's or even just RV.

Don't even know if we will even have a basketball season. If we do and Texas is going to be a Top 10/15 team.
Shaka has to have his team figured out. No messing around.

Truthfully being under estimated is perfect for Shaka if that team really is that great.
Plays to Shaka's strengths.

They are much better when their guards have that pitbull mentality.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Believe what?

Shaka had Texas as a dangerous team going into the tournament. Problem is no tournament his plan gets sidetracked.

Regarding preseason rankings. For where Texas is at I think it is much better for them to be disrespected.
They haven't proven anything and they have to understand that.

Shaka was looking to turn last year into a big year for 2020-2021.

When you put Andrew Jones as the soul of your team that team is going to be tough and be able to handle adversity.

well I guess a team that really played in the toughest conference ie: the BT, that returns all five starters including a 1st Team AA should be rated in the top 10 if not the top 5,

the B12 was no where near the best conference in D1.
