Don't know why you think you'd be breaking bad news for me. I would be relieved if there were reason to believe that the President actually had an IQ of 150. So many reasons not to believe it, though. For one thing, if he had recorded that score, he'd be bombastically, boastfully bellowing it to the stratospheres.
I'm not quite the wrinkled geezer that you are, but I also am from a time when going to schools was more merit based, although not that merit based. I went to a prep school in New England. Of our 66 person class, a guy who was ranked 21st got into Harvard. As for IQs, a guy who scored 172 went to Bowdoin. You can also factor in that scores weren't that reliably measured at that time and could fluctuate wildly upon retake.
No, I didn't go to Wharton and graduate with honors. Perhaps if I had been the scion of a propertied and influential Eastern plutocrat, I might have. As it was, I had to content myself with going to a solid liberal arts school in Illinois and procuring my masters in journalism from Northwestern. My wife had no wealthy connections, but she got her MBA from Harvard.
Stay in my element? Did you mean "quiet" when you wrote "quite"? Not sure what you think my element is. Doing quite well. Trump's policies have served me quite well. My taxes were virtually cut in half, we rode the stock market and have safely invested in anticipation of a likely correction, and after recent vacations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, The Baltics, and Spain, next month we're taking in Norway, the quintessential Trump non-shithole country. Enjoy your summer trek to Paducah.
Interesting that you posit that one can't be dumb and be President. Is it possible to be infantile and temper tantrum prone and be President?
