From what I've seen of the Russian mafia, Ohr has done an incredibly poor job. The RM regularly launders money through American real estate, and has their fingers in some of the larger unions in this country. Let's not pretend that this man was doing any sort of a competent job.
His wife was paid an ouladish amount for the low level job she had with a small consulting firm, Fusion GPS. Wonder why she was so well paid? IIRC, Ohr did not disclose this relationship to his superiors. This whole mess stinks. Don't make this jerk some kind of martyr. He was incompetent, and up till now, had some sort of "protection" from being fired.

Before and currently as well, if I understand correctly. His 'demotion' was more of a political compromise to appease congress. Hard to know exactly, given the fact his work is mostly classified. Does it matter?
What I was pointing out is that Trump and his minions in congress seem determined to obstruct investigations into Russian crime (as well as Trump's connections to it) and couldn't care less about stopping election interference.
To the average person who hasn't been brainwashed by Fox, that seems like suspicious behavior.
So if conservatives are brainwashed by Fox, what are some reliable news outlets in your opinion?
Don't forget the NRA and by extension, GOP election donation recipients.
I wouldn't want to be a republican politician who "stuck their d!ck in Comrade Butina" right now.

I think most MSM news outlets report honestly, but are driven by ratings and fear of breaking stories that are proven false, so they're cautious about what limbs they're willing to go out on. That leads to speculative opinion panels who beat the same narratives into the ground. That's not "fake news", it's opinion overload about the same shit over and over. I can see why people get numb to it. I know I do.
You have to read books and use discretion with social media find out things that MSM isn't telling you. Most of what I'm reading specific to Trump/Russia is from conservative leaning IC. Investigative journalism over mainstream..Just a few below..

The entire MSM has put out numerous stories that have been proven false, had to issue corrections or flat out retract stories more than I can ever remember. They aren’t cautious. Like with cnn. Every other network has turned away from the Cohen's lawyer story about the Trump tower meeting. Not cnn. Now they claim they have a 2nd source.
The problem with most Conservatives these days is that they think everything left of Breitbart is the left, and everything on the left is fake news. They are left with propaganda as "news" and nothing based in reality as their actual news. Just look at the way they treat members of the actual news section of Fox News when they say anything that differs from the reality that they get from the propaganda side.

Just look at the CNN piece on Cohen where their “source” basically said his comments weren’t true. Another one is the DeSantis comment that the MSM is gauging their eyes out about. The desire to go straight to racism or some dumb shit like that is what conservatives are tired of.
Propaganda is a universal problem. Your problem is that you think what you described is a conservative thing and not liberal thing as well. Or you just want to call one side on it and not the other.

Look at my other reply. The right's problem is that they sit so far right that everything is left except the ultra-right extremists. I'm a moderate, but I get called a lefty all the time because I see through the Trump bs.
I think that goes for the left and the right. There isn’t any moderate/middle ground anymore. Everything is polar opposite and completely dug in without a possibility of giving any inch.
There are multiple major news outlets that are as bad as Fox but on the liberal side. CNN, IMO, is the worst of the group. There are several liberal news outlets and then Fox on the other side.
The right has definitely shifted further right. No denying that. But the left has gone so far left, they've almost snuck up on the other side of the right. Look at the rise in socialist ideas, identity politics and pure intolerance of anything close to conservative. Not that the far right resembles anything close to tolerant. But as far as policy goes, there hasn't been much more of a right shift as there has been with the left shifting further left.
As far as you being called a lefty for your views on Trump. I will equate that to being accused of being brainwashed by fox news for not buying into all of the doomsday theories that the left likes to put out there over every little thing that they don't like. I don't even watch fox news. But that doesn't stop ridiculous people from throwing them in my face.
I truly don't get how people, not just on this message board, but in general, rag on Republicans for watching Fox without realizing CNN is just as bad the other way. It is the most hypocritical BS I think I've ever read on this board, which is saying a lot.

I don't disagree that the antifa-portion are way off the charts. However, our left is moderate in the majority of the rest of the world.
They're all biased. Looking at it as black and white is stupid. Ingest it all and decipher what's real and isn't. Go to Facebook, look at what your grandma posted and then automatically know that's false. Go to CNN, take it with a grain of salt. Do the same with Breitbart/Fox. However, I think there are a few good guys on the news side of Fox.

Is anyone advocating for socialism or is that the right fear-mongering? Advocating for socialists programs isn't the same as advocating for a socialist government. We're not going to turn into Venezuela if we get socialized healthcare, which is very successful throughout the world and the majority of Americans now want.
