Don't even remember the last time they beat Texas in a single sport. Been awhile. Well over a year.
Have a chance tonight in baseball..
He left because he was a afraid he would never get to another NC title game. So he went to Texas where he thinks he will have a better shot to do so. But yeah he's there for the challenge and high expectations.
Also his gf/wife went crazy got fired and wanted to flee to Austin.

Frenship's Trew, Coronado's Trout step down from head volleyball coach spot
“Frenship ISD appreciates her years of service to the District and we wish her the best in her next endeavors,” Frenship ISD wrote in a statement. KLBK sports director Ryan King first reported the news Tuesday night.
Trew completed her fifth season with the Tigers this fall, leading the squad to a second straight District 2-6A championship. Frenship also won its first-ever Class 6A bi-district match this year, beating El Paso Americas, 25-21, 25-18, 25-9, on Nov. 19 for an 18-2 season record.
“I have loved my time coaching at Frenship and am looking forward to the next chapter in my life,” Trew, who was named the District 2-6A coach of the year, told A-J Media via text on Friday. “The players have made it so special for me, and I will cherish each team and season; it was all part of what led to the success of the program overall. A special thanks to my coaching staff for their hard work and campus administration for all of their support.”
Trew added that she is not coaching nor teaching at this time.
- Complaints were made by player parents to the school about HER treatment of players.
- After this season 8 of the 9 seniors on the team met with multiple members of the administration to detail some of the stuff that had been going on, a lot of which the parents didn’t even know about. After our playoff loss to a much better South Lake team and she lost her mind. She locked the seniors out of the locker room during their class period and told them they were no longer allowed around the volleyball program. She even told them she didn‘t want to see them in the hallway that lead to the locker room. They had no clue where they were supposed to go during that period. Then she destroyed a big board they had built over the past four years that had pictures and memorabilia from their seasons. She literally ripped the board down and tore their pictures up. Mind you, this was a team that went 30-2. We still don’t know what precipitated these events. Going back to her first year with my oldest daughter we were up in Amarillo and she called timeout and absolutely lost her mind over something. At the time the gym was very quite and everybody heard every word she said. It bordered on a psychotic event. From that moment on a school administrator was required to be at every one of her games, home or road. In order to keep her job she was required to take anger management courses and for the next two years her dad sat on the court right behind the bench to make sure she didn’t cross any lines. It was really strange seeing a grown woman with her dad sitting on the court with her. There was crap like this constantly going on with her.
But now Texas gave her a job inside the UT athletic department.

In the first UT/Tech game when Brock Cunningham blocked Mac Mcclung's three and they called a bullshit foul on him.
Chris Beard high fived him on the sideline.
He was Beard's guy even before he stepped onto campus.
Brock's Dad played OT with Texas. You can tell he wished he played football as well.

Billy Clyde took a swing at him once. That started the demise of BCG at Tech. Everything came out after that.

This one of the reasons on letting Shaka go and bringing in Beard. Fans got to the point they knew what they would get with Shaka basketball and living in Austin, there are other things one can do or support.
Hopefully Beard builds excitement.
