Can we talk a little bit about LSU?

All 3 are on the scandal list so he may want to hold that statement til the dust clears. Looks like it's almost their turn next. Get ready haters to look in the deep mirror.

You better worry about your LSU Tigers. If you think Smart was the only player Wade was paying you are in denial. What about Naz. He was a much higher rated recruit and his recruitment came down to LSU and Arizona, two colleges very involved in the pay for play scheme.

Think it's funny you think LSU is so involved and they haven't been charged with anything. Very possible by the end UNC,Duke and UK will get sited before LSU.

1. That article is over a year old. Stop acting like you dropped some sort of bombshell.

2. Again, it's *cited, not *sited.

No it means the original poster isn’t nearly as intelligent as he thinks he is.

Also, one should not use words one cannot spell.

Will Wade is acting very guilty (obviously because he is). Says he won't even talk to LSU officials until after the federal probe is over. That could be a while.

I seriously think he could have pulled a Sean Miller (minus the farewell speech last week) and kept coaching. Yes, that tape didn't sound good, but did it ever mention payments? You had to infer what we was talking about. He could have easily said he was guaranteeing a starting role and a certain amount of minutes. The was the "offer" he made. Could they disprove that without others coming forward?

Can't explain this away with playing time or starting roles.

“The problem was, I know why he didn’t take it now, it was [expletive] tilted toward the family a little bit,” Wade continued. “It was tilted toward taking care of the mom, taking care of the kid. Like it was tilted towards that. Now I know for a fact he didn't explain everything to the mom. I know now, he didn't get enough of the piece of the pie in the deal."

Wade issued a statement yesterday asking to be re-instated as the coach until he has had due process. He did not deny any charges but stated that he was advised not to discuss the matter since he could be a witness in an upcoming trial. I like this answer since he seems to not want to be both a cheater and a liar at this time. Sort of like a drunk driver wanting to keep driving until after his trial.

I don't think it will help him. The school won't take on the extra liability. If he denies it, he can be reinstated and the liability falls to him.

In general, an employer isn't going to let you work if there's pending legal issues around your job function, and you won't even talk to them about it or deny the allegations.

An LSU attorney responded to Wade's statement Thursday.

“Coach Will Wade has yet to deny any wrongdoing to us or publicly," said Thomas Skinner, the school's General Counsel. "Absent that, the university is in a very difficult position with regard to compliance with NCAA requirements, and until Coach Wade talks to university administration about this, he remains suspended. There is a standing offer for him and his attorneys to meet with LSU officials.”

Wade wants to meet with administration but they don't want his lawyer present however their lawler and NCAA are present. It's a one way street with LSU and they are trying to hang Wade.

article above says LSU has an open offer to Wade and his lawyer to come in and talk about it.

He should go talk to them with his lawyer. At this point he's got nothing to lose in terms of how it will affect his standing as coach.

I quote LSU fan
"I've said it once and I'll say it again. Will Wade cheated. 100%, no doubt in my mind. But I couldn't care less. As a fan, you need to ask yourself, specifically in college basketball, do you want to win? If you answer yes, then you have to cheat. If you answer no, then I'm not sure why you waste your time following the team. "

Just a very tiny number of LSU fans think Wade cheated and those that do don't care. Must be something in the water down there that destroys IQ and character.

Maybe he thinks integrity comes in percentages and therefore he is a cheater but doesn't want to be a liar too.

I am somewhat familiar with the process on matters like this. I don't think LSU is denying Wade to have attorney present. Their (LSU) attorney wants something on record of him denying that he isn't complicit with the ongoing issue.

Can promise you they did and that's why Wade's lawyer told him not to go.

Do some research it's all over the web what Wade said. It's called google.

I've read a handful of articles on it, and just Googled it again to make sure I haven't missed anything. I'm starting to think you heard this on twitter.

It says he told Wade not to attend the meeting don't you think that meant him too ? geez !

No one's saying he didn't tell him not to go. The question at hand is WHY he told him not to go. You claimed the attorney wasn't allowed to go.

If he was allowed to go why didn't they both go ? I'll find it later when I have time but telling you LSU told Wade his lawyer was not to be present but theirs was.

this was about players eating dinner with agents....... and Bam was on the list. none of it implicated head coaches or the schools. Sorry but you're just gonna have to settle with going down with only UL, Arizona and Kansas by your side.

Imo maybe KU and Arizona are going down. They don't have enough on the rest including LSU to do anything

Damn dude. It plainly said his lawyer told him not to go. You've changed your story twice in this thread. He said his reason for not going was because of the investigation, not because his lawyer couldn't go.
