Put your biggest fan boners away guys. Btw, I’ve literally read that U of L nighshool thing from Bert on here 25 times. Jfc.

Well you can write it down that I will be rooting for Louisville when they play Duke. AND; No one on this board is a bigger UK fan than me.

I don't hate Louisville at all. I went to UL at night for years. Peck Hickman never said or did anything bad toward Kentucky. He did not even want to play UK as UK would have beaten the crap out of Louisville, just like Denny Crum and Rick found out.
You are the minority here. Christian Laettner may have eaten your baby, but it was 27 years ago, Bert. Time to move on. Duke is not your rival.

I'm too lazy to look it up at the moment, but KU's overall SOS must be pretty high so far. 16 of 22 games have been vs projected tourney teams.

I was looking through rankings last night and iirc KU was #1 on a couple of them.

Yup! KU does have the #1 strength of schedule. They have some very impressive non-conference wins over the likes of Tennesse, Michigan State, Marquette, and Villanova. It really isn't that far-fetched to think they could be a #1 seed. If they win the Big 12, which really doesn't have any gimmes, they should be in good standing come March. They were a #1 seed last year with 7 losses - and the #2 strength of schedule.

KenPom shows KU's adjusted SOS at #1 and I certainly agree with it. KU has played a brutal schedule.

The only thing is, Kansas had Dok for those wins, the committee will factor that in.

Well we dropped 1 spot to #16. I’ll take it. Must regroup and get a win tonight against a depleted roster.

They have 6-7 guys and all but 1 are guards. They have 1 6-10 bigman. Need to get him in foul trouble early so we can establish the paint presence and we need to dominate the boards.

I know it’s on the road and I know it’s the #11 team, but to me it’s almost a “no excuses” type game because we should have the Depth, Size, Height, etc. with them having 1 big.

It’s going to be tough but I just can’t help but say “no excuses” vs a team that’s without their PG and very little post presence. Sometimes you just have to put on the big boy pants and get a win that you must have. Tonight is one of those nights, imo. No excuses.

It's ok, so is Va Tech at 11. I think there is a steep drop off from the top 5-7 teams and the rest are just very mediocre.

I don’t think it’s that the rest are mediocre, I just think the top 5-7 are very very good.

You have great teams, then good/solid teams this year. And it’s proven that with a perfect outing, one of those solid teams can catch a great team slipping.

Pretty much this. I’m honestly not overly impressed by anyone right now aside from Duke and that one school.

This is true. I did overlook that. You can't take away those wins, of course. But you can factor in how injuries effect a current team. Given that fact, KU probably does have a long ways to go to get a 1 seed. But, if they play well down the stretch, I think they should be considered.

I recall Cincinnati being ranked #1 for most of the season in 2000 - and then losing Kenyon Martin in the conference tournament after he broke his leg. They had an incredible season, probably the most impressive resume in the country. But they were dropped to the 2-line after Martin's injury.

If this is the case, then almost any team would be overrated at 11, no? I mean, teams have to fill in the 8-25 spots.

This school that has a huge following of inbreds. :p

Fr tho, UK looks solid right now. They’ll beat Tennessee the way they’re playing. Hopefully you guys revert back to your November play.
fwiw, I was sure you guys would historically suck this year. I wrote up many insults that I can't use now due to Mack being a Mack.

I can't use any of them. You guys blasted past all preseason expectations.

After all the shit you guys have been dealing with even, die fans need some good shit.
