Big XII/SEC challenge...

So far,

G1: Florida over Baylor: 81-60 (Sec: 1-0)
G2: Texas Tech over S.Carolina: 70-63 (SEC:B12, 1-1)

G3: Texas over Ole Miss: 85-72 (B12: 2-1)

G4: K-State over Georgia: 56-51 (B12: 3-1)

G5: Alabama over Oklahoma: 80-73 (B12 leads SEC: 3-2)
-----------------------------------------------------------
All of the home teams won except for South Carolina.

There were two blowout wins in G1 (Florida) & G3 (Texas).

I think that there were three toss-up games in G2, G4, & G5. The B12 won two out of three of these toss-up games.

The SEC has fared well with a win over 12th rank OU by unranked bammer.
Congrats you filthy little bammers.

From the SEC perspective in the SEC-B12 challenge,

Florida goes to 4-1 and have been the SEC's best team here with wins over KU (3-1), WVU (1-3), OU (3-2), and Baylor (4-1).
The Gators have given Kansas, Oklahoma, and Baylor their only/first loss in the SEC/B12 challenge. Kansas gave Florida their only loss in the challenge.

Alabama goes to 2-0 and is the only undefeated team left from both conferences.

Ole Miss drops to 0-5 in this challenge; although, three of their losses have been by five points or less. Btw, Mississippi St (0-1) is the other winless SEC team in this challenge. Tough break for the Magnolia state.

Worst team in the SEC (Vanderbilt) just took down a Big12 team (TCU)!

SEC - 3, B12 - 3

Didn’t they just lose their pg for the season? Even still, TCU should have handled vandy.

Vols dismembers ISU in Ames by 23. How bout them Vols!

Sorry for the brag Cyclones. Good luck going forward.

The Big XII will win the challenge again as the SEC has yet to beat them.
Could the Big XII go 8-2 or better against the SEC.
I am thinking possibly 9-1.
Oklahoma St is looking much better so even 10-0
Would be crazy.

If the Big XII goes 9-1 or 10-0 they deserve 8 teams in the NCAA Tournament for sure.
You'll be lucky to go 5-5

Wish Auburn had been a participant today. Could have swayed the final record to the SECs favor.

Has there been any other SEC vs Big12 matchups aside from today? I'm almost sure we had one last year that was not included in the final tally. I think it was an SEC win.

Why not Mizzou or State?
Either if those could have too .

Point is the SEC has held their own against the best basketball conference this year going 4-4 before today and possibly heading to 9-9 overall, even without some of the better SEC teams not playing in it.

5-5 last year. First time the SEC didn't lose it. They've never won it .Shows how much better the conference is getting overall .

Even though Vanderbilt's record has been terrible this year, the Commodores have been one of the tougher teams to beat in the SEC for a very, long time. For instance before this year, Vandy has actually defeated Florida 5-straight times. So, I wasn't too surprised of their win today. Especially, playing in Nashville...

They also beat Alabama this year, who beat Auburn and Oklahoma the last two weeks
