lowest average NET by like 10 points this year - by league play will be #1 RPI too.

The BIG 12 has 5 out of 10 teams ranked. The Sec has 6 out of 14. 50%>43%
The SEC also has more terrible teams at the bottom.
Big 12 worst team is #71 in Kenpom. The SEC has 5 teams >90.
Avg Ken Pom ranking Big 12 is 35, SEC is 60.

Isn't the Big 12 (fans) known for OOC kenpom rankings?

So Big12 is benefiting by how half a small conference is ranked, even though it's less teams?

"Big 12 has 5 of there top 10 teams ranked, SEC has 6."

That sounds a like a horrible spin of not having more than 5 teams ranked.

Did you include all the SEC teams when doing averages or just the top 10.

If you go by Kenpom, the Big 12 has two teams that are well above anyone in the SEC. And no truly bad teams. A middling Big 12 team has to play 4 games vs the Kenpom top 5 and 0 vs teams lower than 71, while a middling SEC team plays 0 vs the top 5 and a bunch of games vs cupcakes.

We told you to lay off that Kenpom dick. But you kept sucking it like a broke hooker.
So when does Kenpom become relavant?

And was actually talking not just this year but in general. Since 2018 or so.

it’s supplanted the ACC for that title for now. Granted the ACC. B10 or big east could take it away.

and No, the sec isn’t there. Few ranked teams maybe but Tech and OU just handled Tennessee and Arky respectively.

Predictions on SEC/Big 12 Challenge? 2022 edition?

2022 Big 12/SEC Challenge – Saturday, January 29
Baylor
at Alabama
Missouri at Iowa State
Kentucky at Kansas
Kansas State
at Ole Miss
Oklahoma at Auburn
Oklahoma State at Florida
LSU at TCU
Tennessee at Texas
Mississippi State at Texas Tech
West Virginia
at Arkansas

SEC can spot one as you know it's near impossible to win at AFH.

Will you accept the outcome? No bs excuses about matchups?

Oklahoma and Kansas already have 2 wins against the SEC.

Just have to accept the new line of thinking. B1G/ACC isn't a be all.

Makes sense. Lets call it all and not just a tournament/production.

forgetting tx tech’s win @ Tenneseee.

ou handled Arky on a neutral court. Granted was in OKC but still technically neutral. Ton of Arky fans were there

The BIG 12 has already owned the SEC and the Challenge hasn't even begun. Got some ground to make up, boys.

Did you conveniently forget that Arky beat Kansas State? ;)

Also OU beat Florida and TCU beat A&M.

Buuuut, I think the SEC wins the Challenge.

Who do you see winning?

I'd give the edge to Baylor, Iowa St, KU, Tech and Texas in the Big 12. In the SEC, I'd give the edge to Auburn, Florida, and LSU. I think K-State/Miss and WV/Ark are toss-ups. Being at home, maybe the edge goes to the SEC in those two. Even if they take both, I think the Big 12 would have a good shot at winning 5.

I like all but one of the home teams. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a tie or 6-4 for either conference. Don't see it being 7-3 or worse either way.

How did the SEC beat the Big 12 in the Challenge last year considering it happened after 2018?

I know I can't converse or debate about it, but is a question OK?

Whatever happens is going to benefit the Big 12 because if they do lose it will be in conference
SEC has a chance to change that.
But...
Big 12 could go maybe 9-1 in that. We will give them K State

Anyone remember this tweet? A month before the challenge Sheriff was surmising that the Big 12 could win 9 of the 10 games in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. And yet, they lost the challenge.

The metrics look really good with the Big 12 right now. Worst team is ranked 70th by KenPom. So, every road game is a Quad 1 Game. Kind of unreal. They appear to be the best conference, yes. But at the same time, the sample size for OOC games is always going to be relatively low. And teams don't look the same in March as they do in November or December... Crazy stat, which might make some pause a bit, is the Big 12 has only had 1 representative in each of the last two tournaments advance to the Sweet 16.

But as of right now, Baylor and Kansas both look like legit National Title contenders.

Alabama has the talent to beat Baylor and obviously it's a home game, but I don't see any reason to favor them at this point. Baylor's been dominant and Bama's been really inconsistent.
