As of Today, Rank Your Top 5 Teams Most Likely to Win the Tourney

I love the state of Tennessee, it is only 38 miles down I-65 from me. Plus Tennessee is full of pretty girls.

The Tennessee boy had a lot of help at the Alamo from Kentucky and Ireland and the Battle of New Orleans the majority of the troops were from Kentucky, no brag just fact. Two thirds of all US soldiers killed in the War of 1812 were from Kentucky.
Bert, you're such a sweet talker. I loved your first paragraph, tell me more.:)

that is a very ignorant statement
have you not watched him play?
if you have and stand by that statement then i have to question your basketball IQ
What does he bring when not hitting from the perimeter? Defensively he is ok. Decent rebounding. But he seems to disappear when not hitting. Or, seems to force, which IMO hurts UK. He's a terrific player. Scores the ball. But IMO, he doesn't impact the game when not hitting shots.

Have I not watched him play? Really?

it seems you have not watched him
he is a good defender, he rebounds good for a guard (4.2), he gets over 2 assists a game, he is the second best passer on the team, he very seldom forces shots, he is an unselfish player, he constantly moves on offense even when he is not in the play
what more do you want when he is not scoring

You’re going to question him on your biased opinion? Lol

anyone with one good eye can see the things Herro does besides score
there is a reason NBA scouts love what he does when not scoring (Cal has stated that fact)

if by "biased" you mean watched every game he has played this year and can plainly see what he does besides score then yea i am biased

Well, the NBA has Reddish as a top 5 pick so by your logic, he is better.

what does that have to do with this discussion?
i think Reddish has a higher ceiling and so does the NBA
so again what is your point

Kentucky fans are just never happy. If Herro played for Duke, he'd be the Antichrist and most hated player. If he plays for Kentucky and everyone doesn't worship him, everyone else is the Antichrist.

what a stupid comment
now maybe if he started tripping players.............

What? That makes no sense at all.

You do realize you just said everything I did----right? Then say its clear I haven't watched him...Laughing
You are right---he very seldom forces shots....Well that;s becuase lately, he's been on. I said when not on, he seems to force---And he does. He presses. Good for him that he constantly moves on offense. I mean, ok. I guess.

Herro is a terrific player. a great get for UK. But lets revisit this the next time his shot isnt falling.

Herro is probably UK's most important player outside of Washington.

When he's not hitting from the outside, he has more than shown the ability to take the ball to the rack with great effectiveness. He has bailed UK out more times than any other player UK currently has.

He's also a really good rebounder and his defense is much improved.

Kid is really tough. I hope we get him for one more season. I think he could be an incredible player as a dophomsop.

whether his shot is falling or not he still does all the other things
in games he has not shot well he still impacts the game in a positive way
what more could you ask of a player

I agree with about 90% of this Jeff. he has improved a ton. Great player. I just think he seems to "disappear" when not hitting shots. Its like it takes some steam out of him,. Absolutely agree he's UK's second most important...Hell, I'd almost say most important. As he has gotten better, so has UK. When he is on from the perimeter, UK is a god damn hangful.

Wecan agree to disagee. I think he still has an impact...Just not as much when shots are falling. Seems he loses some mojo when he ain't hitting. DId that yesterday vs MSU for a bit, and when that happened, MSU got back in it. He then rebooted, and hit daggers that killed MSU.

Great player.

I think the opponent has something to do with him disappearing at times.

I know if I was going to play UK, I would focus on defending PJ and Herro first and foremost.

Plus, UK is very balanced and Cal demands these guys run the offense through the post, so yeah, there are long stretches of the game where PJ and Reid Travis are getting the ball and not kicking it out.

If you’ve watched him play any at all you should know the answer to your question! When he’s not scoring the dude still gives 110% on defense, rebounds well for a SG and plays like he’s hitting every shot he has took. Never hangs his head and is always doing something to help the team. That’s not hard to see if you’ve watched him at all.

This is an excellent post. You said it better than I did. Kid plays with an incredible amount of confidence no matter how he's playing.

In all honesty as of now I can only come up with 2 teams and one maybe team that have a chance at winning the NCAA.

Duke
Tennessee

maybe Kentucky

That's it. Give me those 3 and you can have the rest of the field and I would have confidence making that bet.

Whoever plays Duke in whatever round is just going to have to hope they're off and not playing well. UK and UT on their A games would still probably lose by 10 - 12 if Duke was playing their A game as well.

This is Duke's year, a can't miss. Yes, stranger things have happened no doubt but this team is off-the-charts good.

Totally agree, Duke is an undefeated Juggernaut. It surprises me when I read that they are sometimes held below 100 points.

Oh wait, they have lost and more than once, nvm.
