Andy Katz Final Four picks

So Kansas was David when they were #12, #6, and #5? Laughing

It's all relative.

I'd say that 2 of Bill's weakest rosters vs the two best Kentucky rosters of all time qualifies as David/Goliath. Some expected the '12 team to miss the tourney. They lost a lot and brought in no one.

It was asking a little much, under the circumstances.

Had Cal entered Lawrence down 2 of his top 4 vs a healthy KU team, survival would've required a miracle.
Why do you KU guys always have an excuse for this stuff? The game was never in question, UK was hardly a juggernaut last season. Cal and Self are pretty close as coaches. Not sure why this is so hard to accept

You seem uptight.

Kansas was leading at halftime.

Cal is a better coach than Self.

It’s debatable. Cal has had some pretty bad late game coaching situations. Not to say Self hasn’t, but I’ve been frustrated with Cal pretty regularly in March.
He seems to have done well against Pitino in late game situations. I know how you love Pitino.

What? I’m not sure if I’ve ever posted about Pitino in a positive light on this board. It seems like you’re salty because I use logic
So how do you account for Cal beating UofL in two close critical games in the NCAA tournament if he was making bad late game decisions?

I can’t believe I’m going to give you a serious response.

For every one game Cal has gotten right in big moments, he’s probably gotten two wrong. I love Cal, wouldn’t trade him for anyone. But guess what cupcake, just because he’s our coach doesn’t mean he’s immune to criticism. He isn’t perfect and there’s nothing wrong with admitting that.

No one was more happy than me when we beat U of L in the final four.

I am so pleased you finally found something Cal did right. I guess you feel Coach K never makes a bad decision in the last few minutes. Name me one coach you think makes perfect decisions in the last few minutes. Just one

I can never love his junk the way you do
I don't love his junk but just happen to think that is not a better coach in college basketball than Cal for UK. No one is perfect but he at least gets us in position to win a title most years. Much better than Eddie Sutton, Tubby, Billy G or Joe B.

Did you leave Pitino out on purpose?

I’m not trying to be an asshole, but you either are slow are just don’t want to understand other points.

I said I wouldn’t trade Cal for anyone, literally typed it out for the entire board to read. Skip over that? However, just because he’s my coach doesn’t mean he’s immune to criticism. Fact of the matter is, there are at least one or two programs that have better runs than Kentucky has since he’s been here. It’s okay to admit, it doesn’t make you any less of a fan.

You keep being critical of him but can't name one coach you think is better.
Here’s one for you. K has been better since 2010. Roy has been better as well. Hell, UConn has more titles.

Again, wouldn’t trade my coach for anyone. But please stop acting like he’s perfect.

Name one coach with a better overall record while Cal has been at Kentucky.
