ACC thread...

As soon as I was able to turn the game on Flagg goes down. Then when I saw him in a wheelchair, I was like, yep. Rivals is going to be eating that up. Haha.

66 points in basically a half without him. GT can be sneaky. Glad Duke was able to get it going. And even more glad that missed the first 17 minutes of it. Jeez. 12 fvcking points.

Both Texas and Vanderbilt have better wins, that’s why they are getting in (Texas isn't quite in yet).
I don't think you can judge teams by how badly someone else beat teams that they beat.
UNC has 1 win against quad 1 teams, I'm not sure how many SMU or Wake have, but I doubt they have as many as Vandy and/or Texas.

Yeah, and I agree with the reasoning tbh. It's because they get more chances with their conference though and not because they are better though. My point is simply UNC is better right now than both of those teams and I think most people realize it. But, you have to beat some teams and UNC played those teams then and can't play them now when they would probably beat some of them. Trust me, I want UNC out of the ACC as soon as possible.

Why do you want out? Are you tired of hosting conference tournaments?

So is everyone else.

Shit, I'm a fan, look at my avatar… .but UL would be sub 500 if they played in the SEC.
Debatable lets be honest. The only thing we KNOW is that Louisville lost to SEC teams with these conf records.
55-77 @home vs Tennessee (12-6)
64-69 Neutral vs Oklahoma (6-12)
63-86 @home vs Ole Miss (10-8)
85-93 @Kentucky (10-8)

Louisville is 25-6 overall and 18-2 in conf. That's it those are the facts. Everything else is hearsay.

Since we're spittin' facts, the worst team in the SEC (South Carolina) was 3-0 against the ACC and 2-17 against the SEC. :p

I'm not sure NC is better than they are, because they are just beating up on bad teams.
Matchups matter and Texas just beat a legit aTm team.
Vandy has wins over Tennessee and UK, but yeah, they have had far more chances to beat Quad 1 teams.
NC had their chances, but for those that think November and December don't matter, just ask North Carolina fans about that.
Why would you want NC out of the ACC? It's just one bad year, the league eill be back and y'all are an ACC icon.

Look at who they played. Best win is what, Clemson at home? What's their next best win?

What we know is they are 0-4 against the SEC and 2 of those losses were drubbings on their own home court. The facts back up what I'm saying.

The ACC never even had a single ranked on ranked matchup, I would say most SEC games were ranked on ranked. When you play NIT teams for 3 months, you should have a good record.

I agree the facts don't look great at all for any Louisville debate vs the SEC. All I'm saying is we can't know what their record would be for certain. I mean it's possible they could have pulled an Arkansas type turnaround? I honestly posted the facts because it's pretty obviously damning to the whole "SEC is avg as hell" narrative I've been seeing a lot of lately.

Yeah Duke has a better hyper improvement argument w/ the Illinois bashing. Hard to see much proof of it with UL, but I mean ACC teams basically had little chance to prove shit after non con. I just feel for them bc usually its us being "the bad conference" due to a bunch of our teams going tough in the non con but being too unpolished early season to dig out the Ws.

Rankings mean d!ck in college basketball. It's not the same as football where only 12 teams get to dance and rankings mean (almost)everything. Every year there are 5 or 6 really good basketball teams, and a bunch of knuckle heads fighting for the other 20 spots that rotate regularly. Most of the basketball rankings are heavily predicated upon pre-season hype, NIL spending, and "tradition", which is almost meaningless since the portal completely changes teams/lineups from season to season.

I'm not going to pretend that the ACC isn't a turd, that the Cards are great, or that UK didn't have some great wins. But Kentucky definitely got a boost from beating teams like Gonzaga, Miss St, Ole Miss, Tex AM...teams that benefitted from pre-season rankings in the beginning of the year but really were not that good.

It's nice to see the Cards in the top 25, but I genuinely don't give a sh!t. At one point in 2019, under Chris Mack, Louisville was ranked #1. Didn't mean sh!t. UK was ranked heading into the tourney in '22 and '24... didn't mean sh!t.

Well, money mainly but I just think the conference is dying in terms of being elite. Crappy coaches and bad teams. OTOH, if we are going to keep Hubert may as well stay because he would get his rear handed to him in the SEC, lol.

Jeffro got his SEC Pompoms out again! Lol

The conference sucks. The SEC and other conferences are getting way more money because they are managed better and have better deals. Money matters now.
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass!

If you went to the SEC, the football schools and their money would gobble UNC up. If you are like Kentucky and Vanderbilt and just want a welfare check from the bigger schools, I guess I wouldn’t blame you.

Right, rankings dont mean much, but it comes down to who is hot at the right time, see NCSt last year.
Yeah, UK beat Gonzaga Miss state and aTm (lost to Ole Miss), but Gonzaga is STILL a top 10 team.in the NET for a reason, the MSU win was a true road win and you must have forgotten that UK swept Tennessee and beat duke on a neutral. There might be 2 or 3 teams (Auburn, Bama and Florida) that have a better group of wins.
Yes, the ACC is ass this year and the SEC was ass for many years and we ate shit on here for many years because the SEC sucked.
Believe it or not, I'm happy for you guys, you have had a rough 10 years and now I believe you have the right guy running the program. Problem is, you have a couple buddies that make it tough for us UK fans to be happy for y'all. I can't congratulate you when we're getting knocked down by UL fans… .for… ..winning.

Shit yeah. Why wouldn't I? My team just experienced a conference schedule that was extremely difficult and through all the injuries, did a great job. This, after our previous coach took what was left of our entire roster and all of our recruits. Pope had to assemble a staff and find a full roster that fit.
I know you hate that the ACC is down and the SEC is up, you hate it, because you're a conference honker too. Admit it.
Yeah, I'm conference honking, I do want to see SEC teams do well, because it validates what UK just did. Nobody wants to see a team you lost to, get throttled by another middling conference team, it diminishes what your team did.

Man, I really hope the ACC pulls it together. I knock on the league for being bad, but college basketball needs the ACC and Big East to be good.
Good luck to your Heels today.

Says the dude that says he's not a conference honker.
Just admit it.

wtf are you talking about Bama boy. I know Kentucky fans always claim bama in football, now you’re bending the knee in your only sport.
WTF, who does that? So you're accusing me of being a Bama fan when you use duke as your white knight? That's rich

Bandwagon fan is what you are. And you’re also a sensitive little guy, do you ever post without arguing? Lol
Yeah, just look at my conversations with everyone else.
You're the common denominator.
Shit man, you're the one hurling insults.

You can’t post on any topic without bringing up how bad the ACC is. That’s why I say that you and a few of your cronies are more proud to be an SEC fan than a Kentucky fan.
