Lettuce discuss teams with really weak schedules...

Neither team is the same as three months ago. I don’t intend to dog on Tennessee, but your buddy AB cries about how unfair it is that the ACC is down. Nobody’s denying that it’s not down, but he’s adamant about it since Tennessee left its offense in 2024. Again, nothing meant towards you, just the Knoxville crier.
When you shoot a shotgun there is a spread. It is on you to use a rifle to hit what you're shooting at. If you noticed, I disagreed with his assessment. You know I like you and was extremely nice to you after our game. So, if you want to stand up for the ACC, I'm fine with it, just don't shoot at UT and it is almost unforgivable to use UK as the weapon.

No matter what schedule teams play, Kentucky showed how to beat Tennessee. Pack it into the paint and watch the orange clads throw up bricks.

UT is offensively challenged but defensively they're real good.

The style of defense they play may catch up with them because the refs have a tighter whistle when the tourney starts, it's hard to maintain that for 6 games on a neutral court and win.

I think Louisville is a decent team but I think it is an easier path to the tourney to rack up wins against bad opponents in the ACC. Clemson and Dabo made a living in football off of it

No path is easy in the tournament when you have to win 6 straight games.

How would you feel if an ACC team ends your season?

The CBB is made up of Quad wins. If you're in a tough conference they will be quad 1. If you're in a weak conference they will be quad 4 and there is in between. Conference strength is therefore a blessing and a curse at the same time. Nobody has an easy road and it's not unfair.

And who did Dabo beat to win 2 NC’s in 5 years?

obviously it isn't as important as it used
I have just never bought into it that much. I'm sure there is "some" merit to it, but I just don't believe that Duke for example, would go farther in the tournament if they had played Houston and Bama somewhere along the way. I could be wrong though.

Clemson could face and were much more battle tested but I doubt that makes them nervous or puts any pressure on them. They will come out and play just like a normal game

Than duke
I figured that's what you meant just wanted to make sure haha. I'll be honest when it comes to Duke I don't see a lot of roster weakness besides maaybe some depth and the youth/inexperience. Yeah their schedule hasn't been great, but they have amazing length that will give most every team issues.

Sion has done very well at running the point. Especially for not being a traditional PG. Most years I would have more concerns about not having a true PG, but I don't see it being what keeps them from going far. Having Proctor maintain his level of play, IMO is what will determine how far Duke goes. That and getting back to being a good rebounding team.

He's been good but you know you need good guard play to go far in the tourney.

Proctor is key but if he falls off a little then you have to rely on Knipple.(sp) and Evans, both freshman.

Flagg is capable of carrying duke for a game, maybe 2 but if you're going to make any noise the guards
will have to play well.

Duke has good guard play. They don't turn the ball over at a notable rate, high 3 point percentage and are consistent contributors on offense. For a team that features the 3 and 4 a lot, getting 20pts 7rbs and 6 assists a game from your starting backcourt is pretty solid.

Knueppel (hope that stays in my suggested words) is Duke's 2nd leading scorer and is capable of having big games. I don't think he is a convern.

I don't disagree.

dude if you don't think Dabo had an easier path than other coaches to win those natty's you are delusional
Yeah, you need to stop.

Wouldnt a team who plays nobody struggle against really really good teams and get blown out?

Ever hear of Lamar Jackson.

Typical SEC fan. Face it, and bowl games prove it, the SEC is never as good as their fans think they are.

It bothers me a little bit teams like Duke, Clemson, and Houston have played a patty cake schedule. Going to be interesting how it shakes out for them in the tournament either they are going to have a ton of false confidence or going to get smacked in the mouth at the first sign of adversity
Lol, so funny to hear SEC twits complaining about tough basketball schedules... Where have you been the last 40 years?? By the way Duke knocked off the Barn and Clemson beat Kentucky..

it is ridiculous. The SEC has been hot garbage for most of the last decade save Kentucky and the occasional other great team that pops up. Now they finally have arguably the best conference for the first time probably ever and their fans are all like woah is me. It's quite pathetic.

Meanwhile the ACC has been crap for at least 5 years, but before that they basically dominated the nation for several decades.

Big12 has dominated the past 5 years or so yet you don't hear their fans complaining.

This to a T. It's the first time they've had to play a tough in conference schedule, and suddenly losses don't matter lol. If they crap the bed in the tourney like last year, I don't wanna hear another thing about how great the SEC is, when it has sucked complete donkey cock for the last 4 decades. When the ACC and Big East were at the top of their game, we wouldn't hear the end of it after loss. I would tell them, act like you've been there, but this is the first time the SEC hasn't been hot liquid shit of a conference. If 14 SEC teams get into the tournament and none of them make the final four or even just one, that will be very embarrassing and telling of just how overrated they are.

During that time how many S16's, E8's or FF's have you been to?
we have been to 3 sweet 16s in the last 5 years 1 elite 8. But it's not always about postseason success, Houston is has been the best program in the nation and hasn't had great tournament success

lol, how you do in March is really what matters, being ranked means nothing if you don’t produce in March.

if we get to sweet 16 this year it will be our 10th sweet 16 since the year 2000. We have just struggled when it comes to getting deeper than that

What you're saying is you're more of an SEC fan than a Tennessee fan.

When it comes to making a deep run in March you just haven't and just because a conference is
weak or strong it doesn't matter.

UConn, Butler, Gonzaga, FAU, SDSU and others don't play in P5 conferences and they've gone farther
than Tennessee has ever been.

The SEC dominating talk is a bit annoying and definitely over the top, but the situation that the ACC is in right now is almost exactly how the SEC has been treated for ages (unjustly IMO)
SEC has had plenty of years where only 3 teams went to the dance. You basically can't lose in conference road games or you're out of the tourney. It was always rather annoying I must say.
