Yeah, but if you can't trust Barnes, how can you trust Matt Painter?
Yeah, that's a fair point. I don't for the most part. I think it will take Edey getting in foul trouble though.
Yeah, but if you can't trust Barnes, how can you trust Matt Painter?
I’m not even sure what an off night from Edey looks like. His “worst” game this year was 10 points and 15 rebounds at Illinois due to foul trouble and TKR stepped up with his best game of the season with 23 points to beat the Illini.I'd add Houston. And tbh, I don't think TENN is to far off----especially when Jones is playing well.
I like UCONN over everyone. I don't think PU can survive an off night from Edey. Or TENN with Knecht. But UCONN has what seems like a million fukin weapons. Its going to take a very good effort to beat them.
I suppose if you actually looked at the thread you'd see that it is SEC fans making fun of each other's teams dropping. I am only proud of Tennessee and if you had a shred of board awareness you would know that to be true.Talking about games played between teams that are in the same conference is far from conference pride. The B1G fans are by far the worst, but you guys are giving them a run for their money.
I like your use of the word toxic. I guess my masculinity is showing.
Painter has had Purdue in 5 of the last 7 Sweet 16’s. Only Gonzaga has been to more In that stretch. Not Duke, UK, Kansas, UNC or anyone else have been to more.Yeah, but if you can't trust Barnes, how can you trust Matt Painter?
The ACC was 500 in games vs the SEC and BIG 12 in the regular season. This idea that there is some massive gap between the conferences currently is preposterous. You’re crying because ESPN pumps the SEC? Take it up with them and quit being a baby about it.
The BIG East got 3 teams in the tournament, they are very good teams, but they were the only 3 good teams in that conference, so get a clue, I wasn't wrong.
The ACC is way down when compared to what it typically is. From top to bottom, it is the 4th best conference, so what I said was not wrong.
What's funny is, your dumb ass jumps on me because I posted facts, the ACC is down and the metrics back that up and that bothers you, but you come charging in here with "THE SEC SUCKS!!!!" which makes you a massive hypocrite.
NCAAT is a terrible tool, dude. As are 6-7 inter-conference games. The ACC was 500 in games vs the SEC and BIG 12 in the regular season. This idea that there is some massive gap between the conferences currently is preposterous.
And dear god especially the SEC. What the hell have y’all ever done on the hardwood other than figure out how to gane the metrics recently?
March proves y’all are mediocre yet again and STILL behind the ACC.
I completely understand. But you folks believe what they say. You don’t understand the game. You actually think your teams are good. This isn't a socialist country boaty. Networks are going to spend money where they will make money. Are you not OK with that Comrade?
Like bowl games? Are people opting out that I don’t know about? If not just an awful take.NCAAT is a terrible measuring tool. Just like Bowl games.
Man, if only this standard was held for all of the people crying whenever Duke or the Zions of Duke got all of the attention. So many people crying. You’re crying because ESPN pumps the SEC? Take it up with them and quit being a baby about it.
So you use a tool other than performance? Sounds legit.NCAAT is a terrible tool, dude. As are 6-7 inter-conference games.
That's Illinois. They are not UCONN. And not sure you wanna have to depend on TKR vs a UCONN. JMO. Ore ven HOU.I’m not even sure what an off night from Edey looks like. His “worst” game this year was 10 points and 15 rebounds at Illinois due to foul trouble and TKR stepped up with his best game of the season with 23 points to beat the Illini.
Sure, but he's also lost to a 14, a 15 and a 16 seed and has he ever made it past the sweet 16? I know he doesn't have a FF, so my question about trusting Painter to win the whole thing, is valid. This isn’t about the sweet 16.Painter has had Purdue in 5 of the last 7 Sweet 16’s. Only Gonzaga has been to more In that stretch. Not Duke, UK, Kansas, UNC or anyone else have been to more.
How is pumping a historically great program be compared with the pumping of a bunch of never have beens?Man, if only this standard was held for all of the people crying whenever Duke or the Zions of Duke got all of the attention. So many people crying.
Not necessarily knocking you here. Btw
I found your problem. Read the bolded part, you're making shit up, nobody said anything about a massive gap.The ACC was 500 in games vs the SEC and BIG 12 in the regular season. This idea that there is some massive gap between the conferences currently is preposterous.
And dear god especially the SEC. What the hell have y’all ever done on the hardwood other than figure out how to gane the metrics recently?

Not even close. Just because the games are important, doesn't mean they mean more in terms of determining better. Regions are different....not all seeds are equal. Not all regions, brackets are equal. Brackets get busted up. You might reach the SW 16 as a 3 seed, by beating a 14, then an 11. Opposed to the other 3 seed having to play a 6 seed, thus losing. It just not apples to apples.Like bowl games? Are people opting out that I don’t know about? If not just an awful take.
These are the most important games of the year. They are the ultimate measuring stick.
He’d have gone to the 2019 Final Four if it weren’t for the miracle play by Virginia.Sure, but he's also lost to a 14, a 15 and a 16 seed and has he ever made it past the sweet 16? I know he doesn't have a FF, so my question about trusting Painter to win the whole thing, is valid. This isn’t about the sweet 16.
Yeah, I don't get a the issues here. The ACC is performing well in the tournament, but as a league, it is way down from top to bottom competitively and compared to what it usually is. Apparently that hurts some homers' feels to read, but it’s true.Man, if only this standard was held for all of the people crying whenever Duke or the Zions of Duke got all of the attention. So many people crying.
Not necessarily knocking you here. Btw
UK would have gone to that same FF if it didn't choke at the FT line. Had Auburn beat. Oh well. He’d have gone to the 2019 Final Four if it weren’t for the miracle play by Virginia.
I'm sorry. I didn't realize that I was comparing anything. How is pumping a historically great program be compared with the pumping of a bunch of never have beens?
You have been saying that shit all year. Don’t back track now with the results of March.I found your ptoblem. Read the bolded part, you're making shit up, nobody said anything about a massive gap.
Towel off and hit the showers there Cochise.
Yep. Sometimes, it has nadda to do with coaching. Game can just be flat out cruel. But I don't think you can say "don't trust Barnes", and in the same breath, say you can(Painter), just b/c hes been to one Elite 8. After all, Barnes has been to a FF.He’d have gone to the 2019 Final Four if it weren’t for the miracle play by Virginia.
Perhaps I stepped into the middle of something. I wasn't relating anything to the conference argument. But the argument that you can't cry about what the media chooses to cover. So many people cried about the coverage Duke received (Kentucky too) as if they were the ones choosing what the media covered.Ueah, I don't get a the issues here. The ACC is performing well in the tournament, but as a league, it is way down from top to.bottom competitively.
And ESPN doesn’t care what conference you’re from, they broadcadt the games that bring the most viewership, it's really that simple.
Ole boatboy thinks there's some kind of a conspiracy. Sigh.
This is one and done hoops so of course anything can happen. It’s part of the beauty of the tournament. But comparing it to bowl games is just…. Not smart. Not even close. Just because the games are important, doesn't mean they mean more in terms of determining better. Regions are different....not all seeds are equal. Not all regions, brackets are equal. I trust both of them. They are both among the best 12-15 coaches in the game.Yep. Sometimes, it has nadda to do with coaching. Game can just be flat out cruel. But I don't think you can say "don't trust Barnes", and in the same breath, say you can(Painter), just b/c hes been to one Elite 8. After all, Barnes has been to a FF.
Duke is playing really well. Its gonna depend on three things: 1. Duke guards handling the pressure...2. 3 point shooting, and most importantly---Flip, and how he handles the physicality of HOU.Houston is a terror defensively, but I think Duke can cause them some issues. They don't have a perfect matchup for Filopowski if he doesn't play like a bitch. Gonna guess they don't shoot 50% from three next week either.
This is really the first time I have watched Houston. Duke can't match their physicality. So they will need Proctor and McCain to do what they did tonight, again. Which I will not be holding my breath.Houston is a terror defensively, but I think Duke can cause them some issues. They don't have a perfect matchup for Filopowski if he doesn't play like a bitch. I wasn't comparing it Bowl games...Should I draw you a picture? This is one and done hoops so of course anything can happen. It’s part of the beauty of the tournament. But comparing it to bowl games is just…. Not smart.
How would you know what we think boaty?? Are you a mind reader now? What don't I understand about the game? I understand what the Net and KenPom say, have I been misled? Ate those team measuring things wrong? What is the correct things we should be looking for? Tell us Oh great Swami.I completely understand. But you folks believe what they say. You don’t understand the game. You actually think your teams are good.

I added more to my reply than I should have.Perhaps I stepped into the middle of something. I wasn't relating anything to the conference argument.
