2021 NBA playoffs discussion thread

Mitchell might be too much for the Grizzles but they are a team who will be playing big playoff games for awhile.
Crazy as it sounds, I'm probably more of a Mitchell fan than a Grizzles fan. I can't count how many Grizzles games I've been to, free tickets galore and never paid for one, but Mitchell is absolutely top 3 UL players of mine.

Anyone see the guy wearing the Vancouver Grizzles jersey? You'd be surprised how many of those are around.

Donovan and Conley showing the Jazz are a tough out. I love Clarksons game too, he’s legit.

Like him or not, he’s the best coach in the league imo. Recruiting aside.
Coaching/player development like that, you don't need recruiting as much.

*Hot take, and no offense, if he was still at UK. Who knows how him and K would be compared.

I remember a UL cheerleader running on the floor and almost costing UL a game due to FT's.

@UL_1986 do you remember that?
I do. It was at the very end of the game but there was still a bit of time left and we made a big shot (dont remember who) and i guess the cheerleader thought it was a buzzer beater so when the ball went theough the hoop he grabbed it and threw it up in the air as high as he could.

i think........my thc input is hurting me here, bc it might have been the other team missing a shot late and the cheerleader grabbing the ball when the rebound bounced out of bounds.......but it was one or the other. Cant rembember if they Td him up or not and honsestly dont remember who we were playing.....but it was a decent team iirc.

Mitchells rise to stardom shocked the hell out of me. He was good in college but never did i think hed be a nba all star. Monk is one of my fave UK players and i figured he would fare much better in the league than mitchell. Which monk did have a really nice year this year compared to his first few.

fave uk cal players sga, monk, booker, patterson if he counts

My lifetime: tayshaun, fitch, wayne turner, delk

(i was super young when mash played as well as mercer and anderson so i dont much remember them play. I feel like delk is jist as old but i remember him lighting up 3s in those ugly jerseys yall wore for like a year it seems. Delk was unbelievable. All of them were but when delk got cookin it was game over.

Clarkson really suprised me. He was owning ja on the offensive end, getting to the paint and scoring at will.

yea just keep disrespecting the Hawk. That's how we like it in the A!

Damien Lillard putting up an all timer right now. A 3 to send it to overtime, they go down in overtime, then he gets an and 1 shot and proceeds to make 3 threes in a row to send it to double OT.

Would suck if they lost this game.

Lillard is pretty absurd in the clutch. Honestly, he probably should have been at the FT line at the end of OT to give them the lead. Regardless, Covington and McCollum really crapped all over a pretty epic performance from their teammate.

Jokic is a bad dude though.

That was a ridiculous game. The refs made a horrendously bad call at the end of regulation, simply no way that was a foul on Rivers. But at least it gave us 10 more minutes of basketball awesomeness.

RoCo was fantastic for much of the night but really disappeared in OT. Opposite happened for Denver. Morris and Porter stepped up big in the extra time.

Jokic’s court vision is stupid good. Remember a year or so ago I was laughed at for saying I’d take Jokic over AD for starting a team, in large part due to AD’s lack of durability?

Yeah...Pepperidge Farm remembers.

The Joker all day over AD. Brow hasn’t really developed as a playmaker and he has durability concerns.

It wasn't just the end of the game. I watched that entire game and in the 3rd quarter I made a comment that I thought it was the worst reffed game I can ever remember seeing. Both ways. One missed call after another. Seemed like every foul they called was incorrect and every no call should've been a foul. And I rarely if ever complain about the refs.

I wouldn't be surprised if we've seen the last of those refs. Especially the bald black guy, he stuck out as particularly awful.

Pretty expected for the Hawks to take the series, although I’m a little surprised how easy it was. Thibs will be great to bring New York back to relevancy, but once again he’s a victim to his regular season overachieving.

I really try and like the Clippers. I like PG and Leonard. But damn do they seem to fold whenever things get tough.
Their turnovers in crunch time were atrocious last night. And that last 3 from Leonard deserved every bit of shit talk Rondo had to give. That was bad.
