So you think there are numerous players who would do better than 18/10 at KU while being doubled/tripled constantly?

24/12 over the last 4 weeks.

I personally don't think mid-majors get enough love on these lists. A guy like Donovan Dent, who was his conference MVP while averaging 20.6 pts, 6.4 assists and shooting 42% from three is more deserving to me.

I also think a guy like Bennett Stirtz, who led his team to 30 wins while averaging 19.1, 4.4 and 5.7 while shooting 39% from three is more deserving.

Not to go all homer but I could also make an argument for Trey Kaufman-Renn. 20.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 43% from 3 and 60% from the floor.

As for Dickinson, he's inefficient for his size (53% shooter), a below average defender and frankly, I just don't think he raises the level of his team. His teams have underachieved their talent level every year of his career outside of his freshman year.

This is clearly all just my opinion.

By far the best player around Dickinson this year is an unathletic guard who can't defend. Zero NBA players. It's not that they've underachieved, it's that expectations were too high. Same with last year, even before losing a player who was on track to being 1st team AA.

The best way to guage a player's impact is to watch how the team performs without him. It's a small sample, but the Cincinnati game in the Big 12 tourney last year was the worst I've ever seen a KU team look in my life. They honestly looked D2 caliber that day. The other was the blowout loss vs Arkansas in preseason. In which they also looked awful.

Turns out that removing an 18/10 guy who draws triple teams actually hurts...a lot.

Hoping we get Otega Oweh back next year, maybe he can make it to one of these teams.

It’s tough to stand out in Pope's system, it spreads the wealth amongst as many players as possible.
