I like the idea of adding Basketball only teams, and the Big East is the obvious move. I was just reading an article about it. The Big East schools are only making 4.8 Mil per team with their current contract. Yormark believes that CBB is undervalued and shouldn't be tied to Football in TV contracts, which I would agree.

He may very well be going after St. John's for NYC, Nova for Philadelphia, Georgetown for DC, and DePaul for Chicago just to get the brand into those markets.

I'll say this for him, he is a Shark and being very aggressive.

What do you think about this strategy by Yormark?

Not a bad idea, but where has this been reported?

Big 12 Twitter has made up some wild rumors over the last few months. I don't see the Big 12 adding any basketball only schools. Basketball programs only add pennies to a TV contract. Football is where the money is.

Didn’t the old the big east conference essentially get torn apart because the football schools and basketball schools didn’t see eye to eye on things? So now the big 12 wants to double down on that?
